- Jrue Holiday finished a driving layup with 1.9 seconds remaining in regulation to lift the Milwaukee Bucks over the Miami Heat, 120-119. Holiday finished the game with 25 PTS, 6 REB and 11 AST, while Giannis Antetokounmpo recorded 28 PTS, 17 REB and 5 AST in the victory. Tyler Herro tallied 30 PTS, 7 REB and 5 AST for the Heat in the losing effort. The Bucks improve to 38-25 on the season, while the Heat fall to 41-22.

The game lacked energy for awhile, but the moment the bucks got under 10 points in the 4th, that crowd came alive like this was game 7 of the finals. The fans will never forget the Bubble elimination by Miami and all the media talk of "Miami has all the answers to stop Giannis". Then all the stats during the game on TV at least, where "miami defends Giannis better than any team in the NBA". That crowd ignited and it INSTANTLY became a playoff like atmosphere and you can tell the Bucks fed off that energy.
Because in the final two minutes, they played flawless basketball while Miami were the ones looking a little bit flustered.
And that's the difference in the end, between regular season and post season play. It's why most think Chicago ain't going anywhere. It can be fools gold to get a crap load of regular season wins, but Bucks took the hard path to learn that when post season begins, it's a different season, play is more physical, and the energy from crowds on both sides is unreal. You have to use that energy to your advantage.
Bucks are in the middle of a really tough stretch to close the year, let alone this week. Miami down, now they got Chicago next, and then ending with the Suns.
Bucks are busy trying to get their team playing their best for the post season run. These are all tune up games, and it was great to see this level of play in a regular season game, as the Bucks reminded the world "hey, we still got it, just in case anyone forgot about the finals".

Very glad the Bucks won cause that was ABSOLUTELY a 5 second violation. He had the ball for about 6 seconds before the initial turn of his head for the timeout. Refs, as usual, trying to screw over the Bucks. I’m honestly shocked they then didn’t call the jumpball a foul cause there was definitely enough contact for a ref who wants to have his way to call it (though it was still definitely a clean strip).
Heat made 21 threes and still lost. Bucks are just the better team. ;)

I think they're taught to be loose on last minutes, don't wanna be a buzzkill on a hyped crowd. I remember one game winning clutch shot that Giannis did and he CLEARLY violated the 5-second violation on the post, off by about 2 seconds I think. You can clearly see the ref stopping the count waiting for Giannis to shoot.

I have a feeling the heat may need to adjust their defensive strategy if they want to have a chance to beat the bucks in the playoffs. Giannis actually has teammates that can make those open threes when they put up the wall now. Also I'm convinced Giannis may be the best Jimmy butler defender in the league. Jimmy relies on hesis to the basket and pull up mid range shots which unless you're KD you're not getting that over Giannis. Look at stupidly locked in Jimmy from the playoffs last year stats with Giannis being his primary defender throughout that series.
The Bucks literally won after a no call. Also I think the Heat defends Giannis the best.
Heck, while we have never truly gotten the Giannis vs KD we have always wanted to see for an entire game, Giannis has 2 blocks on KD trying his hesi pull up when he was the primary defender, so even KD struggles to get that shot off over Giannis. But Bud values Giannis help defense more, because he's the best in the NBA at it. Though it's easy to argue Giannis is literally the best person to defend KD because he eliminates that height advantage on all his shots.
@@TheBlackBossalini305 the refs aren't going to end the game on a flop calling it an offensive foul. The heat do defend him well but not better than that 2019 raptors team. Marc gasol (when he was still decent), Siakum with kawhi helping. That team was stacked on defensive side.

Jimmy is just very limited offensively. He relies on getting to the paint and drawing fouls too much to get his points. He struggles a lot against teams with length and if he isn’t getting calls and we saw both in this game.
