It's been fun seeing Hart find his confidence this year. He used to be a bit of a klutz with the ball: errant passes, rushed shots, unnecessary fakes, etc., but he has since stepped up and made a lot of big plays in crucial times.

I gotta give it to NY and Coach Thibs cause he's really revamped his system to adjust to the players that he has. Now don't get me wrong, he still puts defense first and hard work but it's not like it used to be from those Chicago days. I do see a difference in his game plan.

@@anthonylee2726 Look at LeBron, poster child for NBA durability. He gets that rest every game at exactly the same time. Now Brunson is injured and Anunoby is out. That alone could cost them this series. I remember Linsanity, the last time I was proud to be a Knick fan. D'Antoni said something like, "I'm gonna ride him like Secretariat," and he did-- right into an injury. Something creepy about that approach to coaching.

Attitude wise it's the 90s. But ability to shoot the ball is not even close to the 90s. 90s basketball scores were in the 80s because most guys can't shoot.
@@RenaldyCalixte scores were lower in that era due to defense. Defenders were allowed to get up on players & hand check. You could basically lean on someone the whole game with your forearm. Everything was man to man D as well unlike the various types of zone we see throughout games today. During the playoffs someone was literally in your pocket & the fouls were harder. It was just a different style of B-ball. Teams used more muscle down low so you didn't see 4's & 5's out at the 3 line taking shots..but every team had their shooters. Not as many as we see these days.

Bro, the reasons we losing. Is because we don't have Ben Mathurin, Bruce Brown, or Heild. Ben is our Starting SG/SF who can create his own shot and get to the basket. No Bruce Brown to attack the D, make cuts, transition and 3's.. Then Heild who can hit big shots and can make about 42%. Create his shot a little, has an underrated handle and passing game too. 2 guy's we could go to late and our only thing close to a real SF in Brown.. Even though he was undersized. He was good Defensively. He'd helped tremendously on these Knicks guards too. So would Mathurin.

That combination of player that played together at Villanova are battle tested. Those players know each other well. Brunson is a great decision maker. This is going to be an entertaining series. It would be nice if they could add Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in the offseason.
