@Dawn Razor I'm not gonna get into a argument, either u hear it or u don't. But when I wrote adding something new I didn't mean that it was a huge contrast (like between projector and damaged done) , more a continuing subtle evolving and that it's not just the last album repeated.

Listening to DT is like walking through a big city and thinking about everything past and beyond in the future. Thank you guys for being a part of my life. Your music is great and you guys are my first love in music terms.
I agree, but I also love to listen to DT on rainy walks through the woods. their music fits so many contemplative moods (but can also make you bang your head, which is why they're so great)
I can agree with all of this all too well! Theyre absolutely mesmerizing in the early winter mountain morn with snow lightly falling! This band is truly something special for me! Been jammin to for like 15 years lol i remember being some 10 year old country and rap kid but then i was given a century media PC cd that had like 70 different songs from different bands on it... and my world was never the same XD I can honestly say that i would not be alive today without dark tranquillities music and many other of century media phenomenonal repitoire of metal musicians
I feel exactly the same way. I can even picture what that city looks like. Dark, with lights in some windows on and the reflections of all the streetlights on the pavement wet after rain
It's like rainy Night City from cyberpunk 2077 but darker.

This is melodic death metal with actual focus on being melodic. Nothing but the love for the guys
Yeah a lot of the time Dark Tranquility sound dangerously close to being Black Metal.
They never sold their souls to MTV like a certain other gothenburg band. Always stayed true to the genre and kept developing as artists

DT and Insomnium are both amazing bands. They never fail to engage feels mode.
Insomnium, Dark Tranquillity and In Flames showed me that harsh vocals can be extremely emotional. I love them all.

the goosebumpage is high with this one....aggressive and beautiful. The clean vocals are probably the best he's done....and thanks for that beautiful solo

3:59 you have already listened to a beautiful guitar solo; now you know the song is heading towards the end, and you expect the final chorus one last time, with the beautiful clean vocals, and... BOOM the ending turns into a fast tempo, perfect growls now fill everything along the incredible melody of the keyboards. This progression, the change of atmospheres inside a single track, this is one of the essence of Dark Tranquility.
The sound of DT has evolved immensely, is now more mature, but this craftsmanship inside every song, the building of the feelings, is still there.

Dark Tranquility is. IMHO, one of the 3 best bands ever. I have everything they have put on CD. I saw them in a small bar once and they were fantastic.
From year to year, from decade to decade, from album to album, even from song to song...New sound, old sound, new way, old way...DT is immortal! Be immortal!

The video is incredibly atmospheric. It conveys this bleak urban feel only that only a chilly Gothenburg autumn can spawn. I like how DT time and again pay tribute to their hometown.

The mellower sections are excellent, especially Mikael's cleans and Martin's synths

@@subalval-8835 Все мы стареем, DT по крайней мере до сих пор годные альбомы выпускают. Я раньше больше всех любил In Flames, но то что они последние лет 10 выпускают, слушать невозможно. Попса с налетом металла. Сейчас качественный мелодет только финны делают (из любимых - это Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, Wolfheart (бывшие Before the Dawn). Но DT все равно еще могут.

This is the first time I come across this band. Really blown away, I've been looking for this a long time. Seems like I finally found it.
2000-2005 DT was untouchable like In Flames were in the 90's. Character is my favourite but I think the general consensus is that most people would say Damage Done is their best.
Every single track on the new album so far has made me cry. This band is so incredible and means so much to me. I can't wait until the day I see them again.

Странно, но голос Микаэля как-будто вбирает в себя всю свинцовую тяжесть осеннего неба и серую палитру Скандинавии. И выплёскивает это всё на слушателя в любой точке мира, перенося его в пасмурную, мрачную зимнюю Швецию.

I have a love for both screamed/growled vocals and clean vocals, so I'm so glad that Mikael's clean singing is back. Thank you DT for this song, I've only heard it once so far but I'm already in love with it and the video is beautiful too. I needed a great fresh, new song like this in my life right now, and I'm really pleased that this awesome band is there for me (and every other fan from anywhere in the world).

Masterful blend of elements from haven/projector era, some Atoma moments here and there and the new colors and technique brought along by the new members… this moment of Dark Tranquilly history really seems to be promising

Always feels like the Swedish metal bands are singing about the things that plaque them but in a creative way.
I discovered them with Therein, so long ago and so young. Today I checked it... 21 years ago. Gods time flies and they still being so great and amazing as the first day. So unique and special creating songs.
It lies and it waits - Therein lies the beauty. So did i as well. I met them with "Lost to Apathy" and "Therein".
What an extraordinary band, they never cease to deliver the best songs we can hope to listen to!
