Great video andy thanks for sharing. Bunch of the bigger farms down here getting started on corn this week. We are still a bit off early dry matter test came in at 28% and corn is barely at dent. still trying to finish up our 2nd and 3rd cutting.
Why make narrow windrows with the mower? Couldn't you lay it down wider and skip the tedding? There must be some leaf loss? Sweet triple mower on the JD.

Another good video. That dragon fly was quite large, guess you grow those pretty good too. lol Interesting that the top of the silage in the lower bunks will be at the same level as the floor of the upper bunks. With the data you have when you chop, can you give an idea how many loads or tons your lower bunk holds and say bunk 2 holds? Thank you for today's video and for taking the time to record and edit your videos. I enjoy watching them and your livestreams.
Thanks for the comment. We don't really have a definitive number on what is exactly in each bunk. Towards the end we were going until both bunks at the same time.

Hiya Andy... Great Video... Does the Farm have a Power Sweeper attachment for your skid steers to use for cleaning and sweeping out the bunks prior to refilling them with New Crop Product... For as many bunks as your farm has that would seem to be a Great Investment... Plus it can do other sweeping jobs as well... Thanx for doing what you do... Thanx for being a Farmer and... It teds out a little better especially wet heavy hay. It also puts a slightly more even about of torque equally spaced if you will acres the whole Tedder. We noticed running straight that you will have 2 spinners great in hay while one is running in between two rows. Next time try it for yourself, it works great most of the time toning on an angle but not all the time.
16:45 I'd say with todays video editing technology you could easily sell that as wanted 'Gaussian Blur After Effect' xD Thanks for sharing this awesome video!
Hey Andy just outa curiosity u prefer mergers over a rake? Always felt mergers always leave a lumpy swarth. A nice 6 rotor Krone would make the Deere sing 😉
@@FarmingFixingFabricating yeah very much so Andy over here we have good heavy grass crops I’ve yet to see one that can’t handle the job. U have a Kuhn dealer nearby u should try and get a demo out and hopefully ull find the swarths feed into the feeder house a lot smoother
They both have the advantages. The triple will obviously cut more in a day. The self propelled is a nice all around machine that seems to be more comfortable to run.
Farming Fixing & Fabricating how does the self propelled mower do on hillsides? I’ve been debating on trading for one but I’m not sure how they would maneuver on hills.
