When compared to Comcast (cable provider) or American Tower (cell tower REIT) , AT&T falls behind, don’t only compare to Verizon for the communications space, AT&T doesn’t really do any one thing well. It’s an average yield compared to bonds or REITs, its average growth this year compared to other communications and average return on invested capital. Moral of the story is, if you invest in average you will receive average returns. Just buy SPY instead of T
Communication holdings just carry so so much debt, scary amount. T was a good yolo play when it dropped below $14, otherwise, just watching on the sidelines.
@@tacitregular2852 not selling. i very much doubt $T will go over. if it were to happen i would bet the US gov would step in to help the company in order not to allow $TMUS and $VZ to monopolise as the only other big competitors. also, their las ER was better than expected and as long as they are able to pay off their debt and continue to grow FCF, im gonna sleep fine.
I would be interested to see your analysis of Intel. I think they have had some issues and their stock has dropped considerably, but they are on the turnaround and with the inflation of the other stocks in the sector (NVDA, AMD), I think that they are rather undervalued atm due to market sentiment rather than true outlook and might be a good long play.
They are not on the turnaround; in fact they are now having issues with their most recent line of products degrading, which is something that almost never happens with CPUs. They aren't undervalued. They are a dying dinosaur who now has a new competitor in Qualcomm in laptop CPUs. Nvidia will be entering that market soon as well. Buy any of the other 3. Don't buy Intel.
So you determine T is worth 15 to 17 bucks per share. Yet it is not trading above 18 and a half. And many expect the price per share to go higher this year alone. What gives? How do you explain this based on your analysis? In other words, why are the big boys paying up for T shares, driving it to new 52-week highs, even though the stock is down from 39 in the past 5 years?
I currently own some shares of NN Group, and am up about 30%. Are you gonna make a video on this stock? I am really curious about your thoughts on the stock and company!
First of all, thank you for your videos as always. I wanted to ask you if at some point you will return to using Python for analysis? Thanks from Argentina
If there is any channel that you recommend for python that would be great. I'm very interested in your way of seeing the context, but I know it's a lot of work. Thanks, as always.
Holding T with 1341 shares and as of today up 2.65%. T is just a hold it and forget it stock. We will always need cell Phones, internet etc so I’m not worried and I don’t live off my dividends so the cut didn’t matter to me. I have no plans to sell T or VZ anytime soon.
Hey! Can you make a video covering Zoetis? They're a special animal health company and I'm interested in their dividend payments and if it's a good time to buy their stock. Thanks!
@@Dividendology you got my sub there, please there's more than just the US stock market. For diversification sake we need more in portfolio than 100% US stocks..and it's interesting. See e.g. buffet Betting on Japan
yo I love watching your videos! I wanted to hear your thoughts on HMC right now. I've been watching it for the past 3ish months and was waiting for the price to tank, which it just did! yield is 4% which isnt that bad, im curious to hear what your thoughts are!
The honest answer is that your method also has merit. The only problem is that you may have to sell right after a correction or even a crash, or during an extended bear market. It does happen, as we’ve seen many times in the fairly recent past. OTOH, holding nothing but dividend stocks or ETFs is not a panacea, as capital appreciation is never as high as the S&P 500-AND dividend-paying companies can easily cut or even curtail dividend payments, so you lose twice. For income, bonds have been making a comeback finally, so I’ve been parking money in certain bond ETFs. (Yeah, bonds are boring but that’s where I am right now. 🤷🏻)
Looking forward to your video on SCHDs most recent RECORD dividend of $0.8241 per share.
Hoping to cover this on Friday

There are so many cell phone companies that are offering 20 dollar or less plans. AT&T will change or fail completely. It's a changing of the times.
@orlandolopez4410 helium mobile is what we use. With the mapping feature, most months are free by using the mobile tokens.
The stock market is starting to feel confident in AT&T as it continues to improve its fundamentals and hit their target goals.
This is helpful. It is good for those who are trying to learn. Please follow up with similar presentations.
Thank you, I will!
Very helpful and agree with your take on it. $T and $VZ just always feel like a dividend yield trap.
holding $T. got close to 1,500 shares and im feeling the div cut pain. but, at least they still pay a div...smaller, but still its a div.
Sell that garbage
Very brave. Maybe it will recover, but I personally don’t think it will. Could make you rich if you’re right though

Got in at around 15.5, sold this week at 18.6 after holding for about a year. Happy, but not getting back in.
I’ve sold off a majority of $T stock this week, will continue selling if it keeps going higher. I’ve been investing in $T for over a decade
Another great video.
Any plans to cover OBDC?

Isn't Intel inferior to both of them. Why buy Intel when you can buy AMD and Nvidia?

Thank you for this analysis. Please do the same for CCI (Crown Castle international) ...
AT&T can grow if they charge less for services

Did you see this new SCHD Dividend coming up? I bet you’re gonna be loving that😎💰🔥
Indeed I am!!
I have 120 T stocks having 24% upside.
Can you review your thoughts on ADM?
This one is on my list!
Thanks you for the video!

Their competitors provide better service. AT&T's days are numbered.
Can you make a video on MCD or NN group ?
I would love to see a video on the NN Group as well!
Noted!
They were my biggest holding at one time! I’m down about 40% but I’ve never sold, only collecting dividends!
Maybe a swing trade if it hits $13 resistance and bounces again. But no

New investor here, is visa or Mastercard better? And what do y’all think of Citi stock?
Love the vids. I am trying to get started with dividend investing. Is it better to invest in a Roth or a regular account.
It depends on quite a few variables!
Also what do y’all think of airline stocks?
Could you please start to also evaluate stocks outside of the US?
I'm hoping to start doing this more on my second channel, www.youtube.com/@tickerdata

Thanks for the detailed analysis. Better stay away from AT&T then.
Is it just me or has it been a while since we found one within the acceptable buy price?
There are some within the buy range lately, but most valuations are a bit high right now

I have a small amount for a speculation
Wouldn't just investing in the S&P and selling off tiny bits every month yield far more than a dividend portfolio?

For income, but man... Little to no appreciation unless you time it. Which doesn't fare well.
agreed
Don't do it. Stay away from at&t! This stock is going nowhere.
Oh it’s going somewhere!….Straight in to the ground.
Its a stalward, no growth but reliable.
All 3 of these mobile companies too they're too out of touch with their plans
That is a hell no
AT&T stock survives off of newb investors making that rookie mistake
AT&T is a garbage company. Never be a customer, definitely never be an owner.
trash company, trash stock, bad business model and tons of debt with no room for growth...the dividend is not worth it...stay away
