Emoni Bates seems like a really good kid and like he's really embraced being coached. The Cavs NBA roster is pretty deep, so it's unlikely he'll get meaningful NBA minutes this year. Another year in the G League and he should be ready to crack the Cavs rotation and start helping to contribute and help them win games next year. GO CAVS!

@@ryansimons4523 Exactly. Dean Wade was excellent off the bench for the Cavs this year until he got injured. Emoni Bates has a lot of skills, but he's still a work in progress, and it's unlikely he'll get meaningful minutes with the Cavs this year with their deep rotation. Another year in the G League to help him hone his craft and learn his niche will go a long way towards getting him ready to contribute next year.
Dean Wade is a better defender and rebounder at this point. Once Emoni earns the trust of the new coaching staff regarding the aspects of his developing game, he could be in Cavs’ rotation.
Please stop. Wade shot the 3 ball better in the NBA than Emoni did in the G. Oh and Wade is a dog on D. Emoni will be lucky to ever be that good and he not even in the same universe right now.

Bates is growing and developing. Hes probably 1 more year away, but he will he an NBA player.

Your comment is wild based on your very last sentence. Why would he or any other player give a candid response the media can twist when you step out of line in their eyes? Kyrie said, the earth is flat, he then said it's a theory. He stated he only wants people to think for themselves and not just believe what they're told generally speaking. He shared a link to a powerful documentary. There was something in there that wasn't necessary. It was insignificant in the grand scheme of the doc, certain folks didn't want to have the conversation on the facts. They shut the conversation down by calling it anti-S. They tried to destroy his career. That's what critical thinking to the media gets you.
