We have one, rear windows are no problems you get less flying things in . Just open roof or rear door or both. Shower is fabulous. Quality is high. Finish is great. Values of second hand are high
Another great video Mike we have a caravan but always said this wood be the van for us if or when we change over to the auto slepper xl your great review has absolutely sold us this van for the future it's all you need love the separate shower and the seating area didn't realise the windows didn't open .but won't go against it love the van .thankyou terry emm .
Thanks guy yes it was a lovely van , rare separate shower , nice long seats etc . And decent kitchen work top space , thanks for watching the video and commenting All the best Mike & kirsty
Hi Guys Liking the look of the Autosleeper , with you Mike on the tinted windows , has a sleek look 😎 It ticks a lot of boxes for me …..But the Boss (Michelle) likes the U shape lounge that you have in your van, so nice to see your reviews and the pros and cons as well as other comments from others who reply to the videos 👍🏻 Freedoms fridge has just given up on us so milk on the outside front window is temporary 😂😂 Ugly view of a Caravan 🤣🤣( let the fight begin)🤣🤣 “Oops I turned it ON” anything to get the lights on Mike …😆😆 Great video as always guy 👍🏻❤️ Keith+Michelle and Freedom the campervan
Oh no! Whats happened with the fridge ? I remember we had the same happen to us in the old talbot express , ( pre youtube ) loved that van but nothing ever worked , we froze to death at night in the winter and boiled alive in the summer , fridge worked when it fancied it , we had a long bit of rope with some cokes & meat in a vacuum bag tied to the end and dropped them to the bottom of a river to keep em cold once 😂 our fridge whilst we was away 😂 , the Autosleeper was nice but a hefty price tag , about time these insane prices dropped Cheers again guys take care Mike & kirsty 👍😀
Great review. When we stayed at the Sandringham CC&MC site we were parked next to one of these and it had a second wind out awning on the back! They’re a great van but the lack of opening windows in the lounge puts me off. Thanks for another great review.
Hi sylv yes that would have been the Autosleeper fairford plus , a little awning above the rear doors and roof racks etc , we’ve always liked autosleepers , nice homely interior decors but yes the lack of opening windows at the rear could put some people off Thanks for watching the video Mike & kirsty 👍😀
@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel After I replied I was thinking I’m sure there was two seats behind the drivers seat, so maybe that layout is the Fairford mind I could be wrong! They are great vans. I love the Autosleeper Broadway motorhome but don’t think I would like the extra width when driving.
Hi Mike and Kirsty. Very good review of the van. As you pointed out, it has some good features and some not so good. Still like your Neo better. All the best, Steve and Alex
Hi Stephen yes it was a nice van very homely inside and well built and had some features we really liked but some we didn’t , the neo has been great 👍 Thanks again for watching and commenting Mike & kirsty
They are really nice vans I agree , with a home from home decor and plenty of extra’s , we’ve always liked them Thanks for watching again rob have a good week Mike & kirsty
Great bathroom! Was it a sliding door inbetween? I have a solution for the kitchen roll issue, it’s simple & effective & used to do it in the caravan too, I’ll probably cover it in a video soon 😀 The weather was so warm in October! Thanks for sharing, Em 💛
Hi Em looking forward to seeing this kitchen roll holder solution ! 😀yes we had a great end to the summer , roll on next summer , well, kind of …. 😂 feel like we wishing our lives away
I'm probably a little biased as our old girl is an autosleeper, but your u shape lounge looks a lot more inviting than that AS, as for the windows not opening I'm not sure about that, as for the rest pockets for storage worktop space etc yes lovely van, the price is the price it's a life style your buying because as a vehicle they aren't worth that sort of money, another good vlog keep them coming 👍..
Cheers stephen , do you know I’ve never ever been in any of those executives or talismans , I like the big windows yours have , I’ve never even seen one for sale anywhere actually when we are visiting different showrooms looking for vans to review , they must be pretty rare , these new vans are ridiculous prices surely they have got to drop soon
Our is an amethyst and the big windows are great in regards ventilation and views etc, but not so good for security so swings and roundabouts, don't see many for sale I think people are like us they just won't sell them due to the monocoque construction, ours is a oct 1996 so just gone into in its 27th year and though the shine has gone flat it still won't leak or deteriorate, I'm not into this stuff about old Vs new, anything that's gets you out the house is good enough no matter cost or make, prices they are what they are, is a house really worth what we pay for them ?
Very true , it’s what they are worth to us and if they ain’t broke etc ….. we loved our 1989 Autosleeper talbot express , best van I ever had i loved it and cleaned it every day ! Gearbox was naffed but everything worked except the fridge , the heating , the water tank toilet and water pump 😂😂 , still loved it though , wish I’d never sold it but I spose it did play a major roll in leading up to the deposits on the last and current van , ( a chunk towards the bank loans ) , somehow though I always felt it was more of a camper than these luxury vans nowdays , kind of too much of a home from home if that makes sense , camping should be basic but do-able , after all thats the whole idea of it
Lovely van but as you pointed out shame about the windows and I believe they are single glazed heat reflecting glass as standard. Would be my 4th choice😊. Thanks Mike and Kirsty
Hi ruth yes a lovely van and well made , yeah they have the athermic film on the windows which has insulating properties according to the website , our friends @craftycampervanners have the warwick duo and love it. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍
This WAS our 1st choice for the next van but the lack of opening windows and quite a poor solar panel (80w) because of the 3 skylights is putting me off, Also I’m not a fan of gas fridges, the shower is a winner but I now like the idea of a little shelf/desk behind the driver side… the search continues but our next will definitely be 6.36m 😊
I thought you liked the Apollo , i did , looked a bit like an ih & devon mix inside , remember the one you reviewed that time , did something put you off ? Mind you , current prices are insane , surely they’ve got to drop soon
@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel yes the Apollo has overtaken the Warwick with us (hence the WAS in my comment) as you say prices need to stabilise first before we do anything £78.500 for a pvc is madness
Auto sleepers have a brilliant reputation for quality, also reflected in the price ( but tbh other manufacturers are not far away price wise) however the layouts for us just don't quite work, lovely vans though no deyning that.
Yes they are nice vans and we’ve always liked the home from home decor in most of them , prices are crazy at the moment and the lack of used isn’t really helping at all Thanks for watching the video 👍
Nice van that we also had on our shortlist. It didn’t quite make the grade due to some of the features you pointed out. Enjoyed your review Mike and Kirsty 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev n Sue
Nice.... but we ruled it out on: The non-opening single glazed windows, No garage area (this is where u-shaped lounges come in), I'd rather the additional space a 6.36m van gives you be used for something else than the toilet/wetroom and the cost given the issues.
Yes appreciate that there is quite a bit of room in the boot/garage area in the u shapes , very handy for larger bulky items although it looked like there was plenty of room under those bench seats in that autosleeper Thanks for watching 👍
hi mark yes really like them , the only thing for me was the rear windows not opening but they do look nice , cant see in from the outside and run flush with the van , great to have a separate shower though very rare in a van conversion, and also liked the kitchen top space 👍
@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel yeah the non opening windows do bother me and they are not double glazed so concerned about heat loss and condensation. Nice van and seem to hold money very well other thing is no fly screen on door which we use a lot and also stops our dog running out
@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel on your PVC do you find it colder and less insulated in the winter than your coachbuild ? And what heating system does your have ?
it seems there’s plenty of rumours about LPG coming to end eventually and yet they keep producing vans with it , 2024 plates too , ive always used the same petrol station for it about 20 miles from me and i always ask if they are stopping selling it but they’ve always said not as far as they know
We had one and the build quality was awful multiple water leaks in bathroom and kitchen area and all the overhead cupboards started to delaminate after a couple of years very disappointing for that price.
