Trent is massively underrated as a defender because of the way Klopp used him, it was never his job to be all that protective of CBs. I do however think he should be a MF. Liverpool are really good at telling players what their position is versus what they think their position is, but their analysis of Trent is totally missing. Connor Bradley being as good as he is opens up a whole world if potential for Liverpool and Trent and Klopp didn't want to know and ostensibly neither does Slot - it'll be interesting to see if that gets revisited whenever Bradley is fit again. Trent could be one of Liverpool's great MFs given the chance, IMO - if it goes on any longer it'll never happen, and you'd think Trent above all else would be pushing it.
The good thing about the new format is that the top teams players will be exhausted playing such big games early on, giving some room for smaller or struggling teams to climb up

Arsenal have looked really good the last few games and Liverpool are starting to pick up some injuries, way more players out now than Arsenal had in their 'crisis', so they could just be humble and wait and see what happens as a fanbase. But they choose bitterness instead, they were convinced they're now the only team that can compete with City, despite the spine of Liverpool's team having beaten City to the PL before, having run them closer in the tight seasons with much bigger points totals than Arsenal ever got and having won the CL in those years too. They'd have been even more convinced it was just down the them and City when Klopp left so now they're spitting feathers that their time might have come and gone already.
Like I said though, they should just be patient as they look a miles better team with Odegaard there and have a lot of hard away games already out of the way, the bitterness and delusion over Liverpool having played nobody isn't necessary.

Trent is massively underrated as a defender because of the way Klopp used him, it was never his job to be all that protective of CBs. I do however think he should be a MF. Liverpool are really good at telling players what their position is versus what they think their position is, but their analysis of Trent is totally missing. Connor Bradley being as good as he is opens up a whole world if potential for Liverpool and Trent and Klopp didn't want to know and ostensibly neither does Slot - it'll be interesting to see if that gets revisited whenever Bradley is fit again. Trent could be one of Liverpool's great MFs given the chance, IMO - if it goes on any longer it'll never happen, and you'd think Trent above all else would be pushing it.
The good thing about the new format is that the top teams players will be exhausted playing such big games early on, giving some room for smaller or struggling teams to climb up

I knew about Slot b4 he came to Liverpool. He is doing very well. Yes klopp left him a good squad but he has got them playing a very controlled and patient brand of football with a big attacking threat.
