Bro! Thank tou for simplifying everything for me! I was stuck for hours tonight. Its 6a.m lol but im Gonna go to sleep for a couple hrs. Ican't wait to go at it again, but with what I learned off of you just now. Thank you so much 🙏🏾
Hi there!! Just a big fan and also a student here. Your videos really help me a lot throughout my years of study and these workflow videos are superb and extremely helpful to me, personally. Hope you keep growing and congrats on 400k :)))
At 15:40 when u draw the windows on level 2 the walls automatically readjust - when I draw the windows it draws them in the same space as the walls on top of each other and I get a warning about overlapping geometry - anyone know what setting I have wrong?
Solution... hi, just incase you havent found out how to do it, its really simple. draw the masonry wall, then draw the curtain wall inside it just like Balkan did, then you get the overlap error, you then simply just click on the masonry wall, hit cut geometry, select the curtain wall, then select the masonry wall, and it will automatically cut it out for you, can cut out the wall in 3d too if thats easier, remember your base and top offsets. good luck.
I would like to see a part two for real-life architects trying to (finally) fully transition from ACAD to Revit, and who are, like me, essentially stuck at the point you left off here, which is a something more like a sketchup model than BIM. I want to see this turned into a CD set, start to finish. I think you've covered everything it would take in other discreet tutorials, but never as a process. UA-cam is full of Revit "modeling" tutorials, but it's like those models you can download from Thailand that look cool but are good for nothing more than props or set design. Take this model, place it on a real site somewhere in the world (how about Dubrovnik? I hear it's nice), geo-locate, drop in this model, maybe show how to integrate a Revit structural model (even if faked), create some schedules, cut some sections, do some enlarged plans, label it, tag the doors, windows, walls, etc, show how to create the references, RCPs, drop in some standard details from CAD libraries (also don't have to be real, but show the methodology), etc. Then do tutorials on how to do power plans, lighting, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love what you do and I have gotten a lot from your tutorials. But the next step has to be showing us how to put it all together into something useful, like a set of working drawings. Thanks!
Is there going to be a part two or a follow-up on this one? Because this > feels a bit lackluster. I understand this is more about the "workflow" but you can add so much more and I believe you can easily link this project with some of the courses you already made. Using this project as some kind preview to your courses. Looking back at the sketches there a tons of interesting objects/families/details that are currently missing. For example: the little pool, the sliding blinds/panels at the curtain wall, windows inside the curtain wall (would be nice if the owners could open one or two don't you think), the corner mullion, the green roof, etc. Not only families are missing but what about the insulation, drainage ( I don't see any pipes drawn on the facades does this mean that those are built-in the walls or inside the chimney?), doors ( how do they access the terrace, how do they get in the house you forgot the main door😂), a few schedules would have been nice, etc. You said it yourself: "Revise and edit. You throw some elements on the screen and then you revise them. You add complexity and detail. That is basically the approach". I'm not convinced that this is currently the case. But I would love to see it, you don't need to explain or make video/tutorial about each family you will be using you have your courses for that but I want to see that complexity and detail you're speaking of. I want to learn, think, compare it , ...

Hi Balkan, I have issues adding a curtain wall to my brick walls it gives me an error, doesn't show the storefront curtain wall at all, any tips? I LOVE THIS DESIGN. Still a student so I am learning extra here for class.
Hi, teacher. I am a graduate from China in civil engineering , I am quite interested in the future of bim, but currently bim is not popular in Chinese design companies, could you share the current status of bim in your country or other places like US, the UK. Just feel puzzled about whether bim is a good choice for career path.
Lots of companies in China agree bim is the trend but they are unwilling to use bim because the manager of companies cannot see the immediate or direct cost reduction or shorter construction period for projects, but high learning cost of bim.
Hi. I hope you can help me. Will this house stand structurally? Especially the top floor. I'm asking because I seemany good designs but I'm always curious about whether these buildings are structurally strong. Thank you
I have the latest version of Revit, but I share the project files from my videos and courses on my Patreon page and on balkanarchitect.com and a lot of people have been asking me to provide files in older versions as they haven't upgraded yet. This is why I will always stay a few versions behind.
Excellent video, I have learned a lot with your tutorial. I'm trying to enroll in your advance course it charge me 20$ more. I'm in Spain but I live in Florida, US.
If you are seeing some extra charges that is tax. Some countries have them for these courses some don't. Unfortunately I don't have any control over this.
it's super disappointing, and I feel like I've almost lied by keeping tNice tutorials comnt up and letting others see it, but I'm not going to delete it
I really love the way you did the tutorial - you started the project right from zero, explain it precisely until the end product.
I haven’t practiced on revit in about a year you just inspired me to get back on !! Thank you
