Everytime I go looking for the coolest songs, I find you are doing them! I still ain't got "Things goin on" Lynyrd Skynyrd yet. They knew what was going on didn't they. You play good music buddy.
I was just listening to this song yesterday thinking, this is one I'd like to learn an acoustic version of for casual play. I found this video and see you just uploaded it 2 weeks ago? Perfect timing man, it's exactly what I was looking for. You just earned a subscriber rate here.
Dickey was a beast, man. For a while there he had to incorporate both his and Duane's parts. He later said he couldn't play slide on the electric anymore because he had to emulate Duane's style so much. Luckily Warren took that over. He still played slide on the acoustic, though.
That's one I haven't done yet. I usually just give lessons on tunes I've covered here in my own style. If you do a search I'm sure you'll find a good lesson on that tune. I know one dude on here plays with Artimus Pyle and he's got lots of great lessons on Skynyrd tunes.
Great job, really miss that band. Bobby Pickett, (Monster Mash)played some bass for Etta James in the 80's and said Greg Allman would stop by occasionally and play guitar. How cool is that! Found that out looking up lyrics for At Last. Thanks for the lesson.
Could you teach us how you Play "simple man"? Your Version is by far the best one i have seen Here on UA-cam and i tried to teach it myself while watching your Video but it is way too fast! Would really apreciate it man! I think i also found a new guitar teacher Here and Hope you keep uploading your Tutorials!Best regards from Germany :*
Hey man, so far I've tried to do lessons on the covers that I did my own arrangement for. I think I stayed pretty close to the way Skynyrd did "Simple Man" but since it's one of my most popular vids, I'll take a look at it.
Wow This would be awesome! I watched a Lot of Other Tutorials and surely, your Version Sounds familiar with the original one, but you have changed it a little to your own Style and thats what makes it the Most beautiful Cover of simple man in acoustic. Cheers
That Martin guitar sounds great
Great. I get it now. Singer insists on Bb. I will deploy the capo and use your method. Thank you….

That's awesome! Meant to be, ha.
Great song, back in the day I thought Duane was playing the slide on this song. Dicky does an excellent job with it!
