I've watched your other fly fishing videos from the skiff, and they're all great. I'm still in the learning to cast phase, practicing as much as possible. I do want to attempt to catch fish now though. I see a lot of carp in my area. and have tried to catch them using different styles, what flies do you use for carp. and where can I get them Im on North H-Town TX.
BloodSweatnBass heck yeah man practice makes perfect! I throw a few for them mainly hybrid carp fly,Scarpion and Baird carp fly.I like something really small and sinks slowly and represents a crayfish.Orange probably is the best color to throw imo but if you want to find a good fly shop in the area there’s a shop in Houston I highly recommend it’s called bayou city angler it has some good knowledgeable guys that work there and they carry great stuff and it’s worth a stop if you’re near by!
I noticed you cast with your right hand, but your reel is also a right hand retrieve. Is the reel just incapable of switching from a right hand retrieve to a left hand retrieve, or are you just more comfortable with switching your rod hands back and forth?
Thanks for the awesome video. I am learning new things every day. My next bucket list fish on the fly 😊
Carp are not in Tidal waters. The best pick up line is " You don't sweat much for a fat chick.😂

I cast with my right and reel with my right. For me it's more comfortable, no right or wrong too it.
I do the same. Cast with my right. And reel in with my right
Heck ya dude
Try a strip set vs a trout set for carp. I think it works better to get the hook in their rubbery lips.
