"Once Upon A Small Town" just gets better and better with each episode. My healing and comfort drama. And I love seeing Joy in a romantic comedy, she's wonderful as Ahn Jayoung.

So happy to see the success of "Once Upon A Small Town". It's reached #1 on KakaoTV, entered the Top 10 of Netflix in 33 countries, the Top 10 of the OTT Integrated Ranking and #8 on the Netflix Global TV (Non-English). Joy's brilliant as Jayoung, and the cast and crew are fantastic. Excited for the final 3 episodes this week.

So cute and unexpectedly nice. I love their minimal expression. Young woo is great with his eye and body expression. Joy has different types of smiles that convey different levels of her happiness. I like the quick pace of the whole series too, while events are carefully and sensibly linked.
Their chemistry is so WARMHEARTED!!! One of the best couples of 2022 .I loved Young woo 's character development so much.

I like this Korean drama because Joy is very natural. The way most people want to see Kdrama loveteams is the usual over the top romance which in reality is very impossible. Although I am a very big fan of successful Kdramas with A+ lister K-Actors/K-Actresses, this is the only drama that showcased a sense of reality. The expressions of Joy in this drama depict Ja-young as a normal 27-year-old-woman who’s longing for her childhood secret friend, Ji-yul. Obviously, Ji-yul’s feelings have also developed for Ja-young even more when he remembered their past. Young-woo is a rising actor who can make your heart flutter by his eye acting and body language. I also appreciate the script of this drama which is simple, yet it’s full of learnings.
P.S. I don’t think this drama is boring at all.
This drama is suprisingly good. Started to watch 1st epidode to kill time but then excited for the next ones 🌹

what's up with all these ex's in these dramas suddenly showing up out of nowhere, when the two main characters are slowly getting together. I would love to see Joy and IU play sisters one day, I feel like they have the same funny and bubbly personalities as one another.

@@JoyismyQ It seems the story will have been told. One of the things I like about k drama is that they don’t needlessly keep creating new seasons. I’ve seen -way- too many series utterly ruined by follow-up seasons. In 99% of the cases the 2nd season is inferior to the original. Better wrap up the first and only season in a satisfying way.

I just heard that "Once Upon a Small Town" will be coming to Netflix Germany (and Europe in general) on October 17th 2022!
It’s why I abandonned netflix. Either they don’t show it or weeks later. I watch most of my dramas on kdramahood.

Joy should concentrate on being a kpop idol. She shines and does much better in her real beautiful talent. Not every kpop idol can have a breakthrough as an actress/actor.
@Sticker K I am not sure if this comment is for me or someone else named Farah Diba. What i am trying to tell is that she is an amazing kpop idol and there is no shame in not being a successful actress. She gave it a shot and she has done an okay job according to me but i would prefer her to see her singing or variety shows. Maybe she need an intervention in her acting career and play 2nd lead and explore other genres as well. Action, Fantasy , Thriller etc. or maybe long drama like 100+ episodes. Most Kpop actors or actress like Le Junho, tayecon and Yoona have done either 2nd roles or long drama before and one thing she must do to break the barrier is that she has to do few movies it will boost her acting potential and her compatibility with other top actors and actress. Just my opinion, i am not trying to shit on her. I am not judging anyone on my comment i just said she is a better kpop idol than being an actress. Its Facts and not delusion, all the tv shows she started has not crossed 6% either on cable or public broadcasting. Her dramas has only plummeted heavily after the shows beginning.

@Sticker K The same people will always have a prejudice against Joy's acting and will sadly join in bandwagon hate no matter what she does. They also always spread so much misinformation about her career and often have no idea what they're talking about. The reality is that from the beginning Joy was praised by PDs in the industry, auditioned on her own and earned the role out of 300 girls in "The Liar and His Lover" (from the director of Extracurricular), and she won the Newcomer Award for her first role. Joy's second drama "Tempted" was popular internationally and she was nominated for multiple acting awards. Joy then took a 3 year hiatus from acting since 2018, spent that time taking acting lessons and studying scripts. Then she returned late last year with a second lead role in a smaller drama "The One and Only", received praise from critics and viewers and her 7th career acting nomination, the drama was called a masterpiece by critics and it was said this was Joy's breakthrough moment as an actress. When the drama was put on Netflix it went to the Top 3 in Korea and Top 10 in 6 countries.
And now Joy has taken on a mid-form webdrama for her role in "Once Upon A Small Town", with a highly respected veteran director praising Joy's acting. The drama has entered the Netflix Top 10 of 7 countries and is in the Top 10 every week of KakaoTV. Critics and viewers have been praising the show and her acting. Joy has actually followed every bit of advice she's been given and has received praise for her improvement in acting. The only people who refuse to see that are those who'd rather spread hate than accept the truth. I look forward to seeing Actress Park Sooyoung for many years to come.
