Counter strike had the same type of cheat before. The server tries to replicate the client's view as is, but the hack can lie what the client supposedly received or sent. Hence, the replay shows the cheater's network perspective where everyone else is lagging a lot. That is typically done by a fake command-chain-from-the-past by emulating a "network runup" at a very convenient timing to hit someone. However, there is something extremely tricky going on as it took cheat devs many years to figure out. Overwatch uses command buffering and a very sensitive time discrepancy detection. This shouldn't be possible and very very likely that it is but an edge-case exploit (incorrect data in command structure) and will be patched soon enough. Or is patched already, I don't know.
I heard from comments (prolly untrue) that OW did this to cheater replays to make them not watchable for both content creators and obvious if they are cheating in replay.
The guy not wanting to throw the game with blatant cheaters because others “never throw for him” is so childish, at least he had a change of heart, fuck cheaters, regardless of the game always throw if you have these waste of oxygen kind of people on your side.

So what it does is force the game to create a valid image(with hit box and stuff) and then it just locks on to the head and shoot that’s why on their screen no one is moving that much all you see is pretty much the after image maybe with a delay of 1 sec

i mean the guy has a point, in higher ranks they never throw the match for cheaters, only in yt vids cus they wanna seem morally superior. if the enemy is still a tryhard with cheaters on their team why should i throw?

Im mostly a qp gamer with my friends and almost every game either we or the enemy Team has one. The sweating in this game got worse anyway but idc i just want to have fun. :(

I haven't run into many cheater fortunately, but when I have it has made the game so sad to play because there's little to nothing you can do and it ends up tanking your rank. It's the reason I said I haven't played in a month! (also the fact that solo queueing for me is HELL)
