The S&W 22 A1 is a good, but it has a little spring that pops out if you aren't careful when you do a field strip. It also has the mag release in the front of the grip, not behind the trigger or on the heel, so that confused people. The big selling point was it had a built in scope rail and was only about $200. Very accurate and fun to shoot. A real "sleeper".
Remington did put out a nice 1911, a solid value right up there with Springfield Inc, Colt. A notch above Ruger in overall feel and smoothness. Dan Wesson's are superb if you want to pay a bit more.
My first view of Marksman TV was your top-selling 1911s about three or four years ago. Your number one seller is still one of my favorites with close to 15K rounds through it. I completely agree with Randy on 1911 day. Well, that's EVERY day at my house.
I want to drive half way across country just to buy a firearm (in compliance with Indiana gun law sales of course) from them because these guys are so down to earth
Indiana doesn't allow sells that way. In Southern Indiana no gun shop will sell to you unless you have an Indiana I.D. I've been told that by at least three different shops. Before they will show you anything they want to see a valid in state I.D. Not a big deal to me as I'm Indiana born and raised but it is something I've noticed in the last couple years at the shops around my area. I'm sure they can send it to a shop local to you but legally here it would have to be transferred that way if you're from another state.
desert eagle 1911's made by magnum research is about the best 1911 for the money I have ever owned, and they shoot so very accurate as they should do, they are of a great quality n undervalued i bought mine several yrs ago, one for under 700, the stainless one was just over 7oo and for a great quality 1911 you can't beat them

I was watching Aliens the other night and shortly after they have to give up their explosive rounds,one of the Marines had a handgun and I didn't know what it was....you pulled out the HK and now I know.
There was a bit on the Smoothers brothers show that you guys might like to steal some time. One guy would say, "Hi, I'm Jesse James." The other would respond, "I'm Frank James." Then they would both say, "We are Frank and Jesse james." I often think of that bit with your open. Thanks from a long time fan.

If I didn't already have a plethora of 1911s, I buy a basic Rock Island and spent the money I saved on Wilson, Ed Brown etc. aftermarket parts from Brownells and rebuild it to my specs...as I did almost 30 years ago with my Norinco 1911...
I never knew the VP70 was "popular". One of those guns you wanted until you actually got your hands on one. Its huge, heavy, expensive, and has a trigger pull like a staple gun. I suppose the collector value on them must be quite high. At least the P7 has style

I want to say I almost had a chance at buying a Colt Python in .38 caliber. I don't know why they even told me about the gun since they already had their mind made up who they were selling it to. Yes, I'm still sour about that even though that was over 40 years ago.
I love the shooting impulse of a metal cz handgun, my spo1 is my favorite so far, and it carrys as great as any I own even if its slightly on the heavy side a bit, it seriously carrys great, I own the de-cocker model I have wanted a cz striker fired though I hear they are great n have a excellent trigger
You got Leon's gun from resident evil 2 that hk . The python is sweet looking , you got a nice selection of guns in . Love the outtakes and the way you guys work and interact with each other
Very nice video, big 1911 fan. I traded in a stainless rem r1 towards a cz shadow 2. In hindsight it was a mistake, I had installed night sights, the r1 was much more accurate for me than my sig stx , because it had a sub 4# trigger.
I'm the guy that sold it and can tell you it will be a great addition to your collection. I was sorry to let it go, but needed to make room for another "gotta have"
