    Pastor Mark Driscoll,
    I like the hat and the clothes. Some may find fault and complain about it.
    Pastor Driscoll is calling out the Worrior, the Coach. Calling out Authentic Manhood to stand in the gap wherever their leadership is so needed today. Amen, and Amen?

    There was a time men didn’t need to be told because they learned from their fathers. Sadly too many men aren’t learning how to be men much less fathers, for many reasons. It’s time we raise up our men to be good, God fearing men and show them they are valued, loved and respected

    I feel so fortunate. My parents sent my sister and me to a private Christian school for middle school, and the teachers and administrators believed the same things as my parents. So, what happened at home carried over to school, and vice versa.

    You know maybe the reason why so many people send their kids to public and charter schools is because most people can’t afford the insane cost of a private or Christian school. There is a popular mega church in my city that just built a multi million dollar school right next to an upscale neighborhood. Then they charge 10K a year just in tuition for middle school kids. Why not build a nice school in an area of town where people are low class or impoverished? Because there’s no money or status in it for them. Just food for thought.

    • @bufficliff8978
      @bufficliff8978 Рік тому +1

      Those exist but people don't send their kids there because it takes effort and they can't buy as much junk food. In my town there's 6 affordable private schools and then more expensive ones as well.
      There are scholarship programs available. If a parent works for the school there's free or discounted tuition.
      People just don't apply thought to the question. They think private school for rich only and don't consider that they've already spent 5k on junk food no one needed.

    Agreed. Public school 100% and while you are in the world and not of the world, you are being a light on the lampstand and salt to a flavorless society. Talk to your kids like i talk to mine, what happened at school today, what did they teach you, what do you think of that, and then BAM, father mode where you tell them what the Father thinks of that, with the compassion and energies of prayer. Ive already emailed the teacher about Heartstopper and Graceling. We've talked about mental health and the torment some of these kids face at home. That in some cases they might need compassion and other times no. Kids are fearful now. Perfect love casts out all fear AND Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. My son has my recovery Bible for his addiction to video games. He will learn self discipline (i discipline too but what a tool from the Father, giving us the Holy Spirit to self monitor and choose wisely).

      Look at private school and homeschool options. Cut wasteful spending to afford healthy educational options.
      If you're gone 10 hours then have tv off when you get home. When dad is home they get to interact with you.

    Sending your kids to public school is teaching them how to be "in" the world but not "of" it. You can't send them to a private or Christian JOB after they graduate so they need to learn to be light in the darkness and that starts at home, regardless of whether they go to private or public schools.

    • @bufficliff8978
      @bufficliff8978 Рік тому +2

      They're taught "in-not-of" in private schools, too. And they have to live "in-not-of" in private schools. But in private schools they're taught normal stuff through a lens of truth whereas in public schools they're taught normal and abnormal stuff through a lens of lies.
      Adults CAN go to Christian based jobs after schooling and millions do, and even in those jobs they have to be "in not of."
      In every case it starts at home, but the kids who went to private school knew more, were more Christlike, had firmer foundations, were smarter, and more thoughtful than kids who went to public school.
      So kids in both situations have to learn "in not of" but Christian school kids were better off.

      There is a time when children need to be ready to get out of the nest so to speak. Both message have relevance. I believe that putting a child in public school is close to putting them on the battlefield, on the front lines, like first responders these days. Something to think about when sending your children off to public school. Are they ready for this? Are You ready for this?
      Foresight can be very very unclear. Are You Ready for the challenges? ❤😅😊🎉

    If you’re afraid of the school system brainwashing your child, than you’ve fallen short as a parent. This is what happens when you teach your kids what to think rather than how to think.
    The things they experience in school are opportunities fir you as the parent to engage with your child on. You can’t shelter your child forever. Besides, education really takes place at home any how. Shane on you if you rely solely upon the school to do your work.

    • @omegaweapontmod
      @omegaweapontmod Рік тому +1

      If you think you can develop an elementary school student to be immune to the constant, targeted and purposeful indoctrination of adults, when literal adults fall prey to this daily in other forms, you fail to understand parenting and kids.
      No 6 year old is analyzing the validity of their teachers syllogisms, let alone accurately.
      Besides, as Voddie Bauchum so articulately argues in his sermon series Children of Cesar, there is no Biblical basis whatsoever for choosing public school. Now if you don't care what the Bible says, then this isn't the thread for you to be commenting on to begin with.

    This is a messy message, yet again from you Pastor.
    Your entire message is vague.
    There are more astute students coming out of Public Schools than Private Schools.
    Anyway, in this era, all Schools; Private & Public are brainwashing children into gender preference etc.
    What I can't understand is, why you don't put thought into your Preaching before you speak.
    Do you realise, how uncomfortable & worrying your message is to those parents, who as much as they try to give their children their utmost best; cannot afford Public Schools???!!!
    Pastor, you need to do your work as a parent, mannerism, behaviour, Godliness, ethics & morals, life lessons etc are initiated by parents at home & continue by the parents.
    Pastor, you're making a pattern of preaching your own ideals without considering the effects of your actions.
    You've had plenty feedback from people about your Sermons, yet, you're not reciprocating.
    Instead; you need to step yourself aside & let The Holy Spirit lead you to Sermons that are from God.
    🙏🕯️🙏
