@@TheGamblermusic yes, they do. I was just telling someone that same thing yesterday. I play the organ, BTW. I have been an enthusiastic amateur organist since February 1988. I love wind instruments. Can't play "portable" wind instruments though; I don't have the lungs for it. So I enjoy LISTENING to oboe, flute, recorder, et cetera.
@@claireforestgreenorgangeek7882 i'd highly recommend the recorder, easy to get started, the pressure and wind requirement isnt bad ompared to flute or clarinet etc
Ashley Sanchez. Had you going for a while right? I wonder how he did this type of editing. I guess if you do it for a while it will come easy and quickly. It's the timing that's most of the essence. I play recorder and use garage band. I find using recorder timing is critical because there is no mechanical means to hear the other instrument. Slightly out of timing sometimes sounds good and you can get accidentals that work. If you imagine been in a cave with bats. The sound of recorder can be quite haunting.
I think I have to revise my opinions on recorders. My biggest exposure to them was being an unmotivated kid forced to play them at school but in the hands of someone who cares and put in the work, this is so much more beautiful than I might have imagined.
you know when we are little and dream of somehow changing the world for the better? well your hard-earned talent and the arrangements of each and every song you've made public might not have made an impact in the cosmos at large but it has changed, improved, and beautified my world. thank you.
This just randomly popped up in my recommended videos when I was looking at classic car videos - nothing like what I usually watch and absolutely delightful! Thank you for sharing with us. You made my day!
Wow! Very nice arrangement and beautifully played! This is the theme from which Benjamin Britten wrote variations and a fugue called, "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra", 250 years later. This is a fantasctic arrangement of the original Purcell, but if you haven't heard the Britten, I suggest you check it out.
Lovely, and it makes me think of when I was young, hard to believe at 73, of the Young Persons Guide to the Orchestra...loved it then now and loved it then.
Such beauty! This piece by Purcell is amazing in that it seems that whether played with orchestra or by single instruments, it is one of the most powerful pieces of Baroque music. And you have done a splendid job with it. Thank you!
I am a SATB guy myself, chapeau for your lots of performance! I really loved to see andere hear you playing all the recorders in a kind of time Lapse video's. The enjoyment of your record playing is most inspiring, keep in making these!
Orlan Charles es un genio de la música. Analiza cada nota, la ejecuta notablemente en cada instrumento y luego la integra con precisión matemática. NOTABLE!!!
Thank you for doing these. I really appreciate your efforts and the magic you create in these videos. I am trying to take up recorder again (my three soprano alto and tenor recordersare waiting)
I don't know why, but recorder ensembles always sound so heavenly.
I mean, they are a very unique instrument, and they generally sound very good, so I guess thats why
that's because together they sound like an organ, but sharper
Indeed

The Purcell's music, always full of melancholy even when he was writing for dancing...
This version moves me to tears
Same here 😢😭
me too....
Four times "Bravo"; one for each of the pipes at play!
Hank Purcell at his best.
This technique that Orlan Charles uses to coordinate the various instruments is absolutely 1st class.
Don't know how you pulled this off it's my favorite Purcell piece is going to be played at my funeral
The four of you play real well together and you must be identical quadruples . Beautiful sound and nice music.
I think it is a split screen (all the same person) just made to look like 4 next to each other. I cod be wrong tho
It’s a split screen

Pride and prejudice! I had it on the back of my head. This is what they dance in the "private dance" scene. It sounds gorgeous on the Recorder
Wonderful music! What a stunning, clean, crystal clear sound!
THIS is what all people should be doing: MAKING MUSIC TOGETHER!!
Yes, heavenly. Better than any drug could ever be. And not only the instruments, but also the choice of music, is perfect. Thank you, gentlemen.
Close your eyes sit back and listen, just so beautiful. Many thanks.
