Girl I love everything about you and your family, you don't leave out anything I am also a Jamaican and I coming to Mexico early next year thanks for your information jah guide and protect everytime.
Congrats on your new home. In the end, it only matters that you love your new place. That been said, you spent way, way, way too much money for what you showed on video. A couple of mistakes you made: (a) never show too much excitement when looking at rentals or purchasing anything; (b) thinking if you don’t get it now, it will be gone (remember, what’s meant for you, will be yours); (c) not negotiating the price. everything is negotiable, everything; (d) comparing the costs to what you paid in another country instead of comparing it to the country you’re in; (e) using a realtor who works on commission; (f) thinking you will get your deposit back at end of the month; (g) not checking the internet situation if it’s important to you; and finally, and the most important; (g) not conducting through research for all the points mentioned above. Each of these points have been thoroughly discussed on UA-cam in other expats videos on how to rent an apartment in Merida. There are many new expats living in Merida who document their mistakes or what they have learned. For anyone thinking about moving there, watch videos and get a pen, paper, and write things down so you will know what to do and not do in Mexico. Also, see if you can get damprid for the moisturizer. It is sold at Walmart and might have it under a different name there. You might not need a humidifier. They come in plastic containers and little packets to put in the closets and bathroom. They need to be changed often so a humidifier might save money.
Your hair looks great! I love your curly hair too. Congratulations on the new place. Looking forward to seeing you again at the next game night & the monthly bday functions. And great info on the rental hunting.
My understanding is that in most places in Mexico the deposit is non refundable .Your place is very nice However I think it's expensive .you can find many nice and cute places like yours for much less money. Before I forget ask someone local what they do about the humidity because their are these things you buy for the humidity that prevent things from going bad ,but I just can't remember what they are called and you don't need to buy a Humidifier I think it's some type of packages you can place in your drawers you can also use Arm & Hammer to absorb Moisture .
Hello. Love your new space! Coming in November, thanks for info. How will you live without a pool. I guess this time of year is okay. DO tell where you got beautified! LOL Juan, nails, eyelashes etc.
Almost everywhere we stayed had a pool and we only used one one time so I decided it wasn’t so critical for us. There’s a shared one in this apartment so that’s always an option without me having to upkeep it. Video on beauty stuff coming soon!
Any cheaper countries than Mexico? Is Ecuador cheaper, cost of living. I’m considering getting residency in Mexico. It looks like it’s getting more expensive to live in Mexico? 😊
@@christopherhouse7937 yes and yes! I mean just in the area I live in I have four gyms in walking distance and specialty gyms just a few driving minutes away. Same with nightclubs and nightlife. Lots of options.
@@MoTheTravelingJamaican Is Merida very International? Living in Merida will i see people from many different countries and backgrounds, or do you see mostly Mexicans and USA citizens?

Nice!!! You gonna love it. And thanks 😊
Love the hair! Check your AC unit, if there is a raindrop icon it will dehumidify a room really fast without the mess of having to empty a tank.
Oh thanks for this! I’m gonna check

On Facebook marketplace. I mention how in the video

$1000 and no pool. Overpriced for the area. Laundry area is nice though
The complex has a shared pool. I don’t mind not having that expense

How is schools? Is your daughter virtual, home school or local in person
She's virtual for now. Considering a local school for her for more integration
How do I get in touch with you, I am planning a move to Merida. It will be me & my Yorker. Want a small place near the downtown area
Greetings from Queretaro. Merida is too hot for me. Enjoy.
