AlmightyArjen I hope Creator Expert starts the trains line again. I want another steam locomotive, because those are rare these days. Do you make custom trains, other than the Danish commuter train?
Well, I'm not that good making MOC trains (the commuter wasn't my design either). So for the moment no, but I'd like to. But for now I'm focussing on Lego train automation projects.
Really? The commuter is one of my favourite lego trains ever! No offence to Jang, but I like yours much better than anything on his layout (His are still great). I bet every Lego creator wishes there was a realm with unlimited bricks, and you could let your imagination go free. Not LDD, because I suck at it...
I love the looks of it too. But I think Jang has some cool trains as well! And next to that: Jang hasn't probably seen such a train in real life, they're only in the Netherlands, right?
As far as I know. I just thought of creating a layout, with custom terrain, and 3D printed tracks to go through mountains, and next to the coast, through towns, all made of lego (and a bit of duplo to save space in the mountains)
Great review! Love the "GoPro" style camera shots you did at the end [and how you separated the camera car from the train....my guess is that the train was pushing a camera "car" and then you did a stop on the train, causing the camera to continue with the momentum]. I'd love to see more shots from that camera angle when you do your city update video.
The half of ciment truck thingy it would have the archimedes screw in it ... so that must be a specialized part the brown tipper wagon thingy... Just sayin " there are so many different lego parts its incredible !!
Thanks again for the review Jang! I really enjoy the videos with the trains rolling with the trains rolling through your city! You always record it with with a variety of cool views!
Hazardous waste, first time I've seen that in the city line PS: lego hasn't made a hazmat truck, and not even proper truck to safely transport the hazardous waste, so you should bring in your hazmat truck incase of an "accident"
0:05 when I first saw this set, i thought the yellow cab on the flatcar was a separate car! I also thought it came with a switch! 2:00 I imagine the flat car being a push-pull car, so you can reverse the train, like a modern caboose! 4:46 I like the locomotive! it looks like a typical modern European shunting engine! 5:30 that's cool! they could've made the whole thing as wide as the frame with side doors, and I'll be fine!
This train was my Childhood! It's not my favorite Lego set of all time but It's in 2nd Place! I got the set when it came out & I still have it all intact. My favorite Lego set was that blue & white cement mixer from 2008 i think.
I have this set, though I got it a few years ago only, and I am very pleased with it. I haven't had enough track space to get another cargo train, and this one has always satisfied my needs.
Train stuff is good stuff!!! The only things I don't care for in Lego trains are the European-style bumpers, and the styling of the roofs; the roofs can be rebuilt, the couplers we are stuck with. Thanks for sharing!!!
You are a great video maker very professional but still understand that they are toys and you make excellent reviews that help many people keep it up man,
Jang, are you planning to do a showoff of all you current trains? Custom and bought ones. I would love a video of that, I know you have video's of them all seperatly. Just want to know your opinion when comparing them all, and what you would have liked to be diffrent.
Thanks for the review. Great set and good review. But in terms of playability and handling, I really liked the old remote control better than this "new" PF RC. I have the impression, the train does not stop that instantly with this RC compared to the old black one. In addition, the piece is a bit small for "large hands"
I had to choose between this one and the yellow cargo train that was available at the same time. I did prefer the look of this one quite a bit, and when I happened to see it on sale I snatched it up. I don't regret that decision.
For your dinosaur area you said u are going to build how about u make a actual park with rides so you can use theme park sets? Or just a dinosaur layout would be super cool too
Excellent work sir! Your city looks superb with the train rolling through it. Glad you are enjoying Legos these days. Hope you are doing well. (P.S. This is TheBlueKnight).
I really like it, but there is one change that I would make. That large cylinder on top of the locomotive is right in front of the operator. I guess it's some kind of exhaust, but if it is, it really belongs at the other end of the long hood. Otherwise, this is a terrific set.
No no. I think that the lack of variance is one of the sets strongest points if only because uniformity is crucial for a sense of group; if only so that they may more easily cooperate and work together: and if only to more easily identify who should and should not be there, and who should be doing what...so no I think it very good and very important that they did that. I just wish some of the military toys I have had done this...;)
LEGO needs to do more Trains and make them more affordable. I would like to see a better mix of American and European locomotives and rolling stock in sets or be able to buy them on there on there own like they did years ago one car or Loco at a time. That would bring the hard core train people back. And they would stop buying the Knock Off LEGO Trains and cars that are so much cheaper. And fill a gap that LEGO needs to fill they are loosing to much money by ignoring the train market they build it I WILL BUY IT!! Nice review btw sorry went on a little rant lol.
Be it late or not, the review is great , though my first Lego train was going to be this set I picked up the one with the yellow Euro style engine. Not a fan of that , ended up using the Marsk engine set for my train Layouts engine. I enjoyed the final shots here looking back , keep up the great work and reviews.
it looks like a great set, one that got retired before i got back into lego, maybe you could have all the PF trains next to each other or a small review/ comparison
awesome review. not a question about the train persay but I wonder if Lego would or has already made a powerplant set ? that bio-waste has to come from somewhere for the train set lol
It'd be nice if people would just read the description like you say and stop asking if you're sponsored. It's pretty annoying that we now have to see a popup saying you're not sponsored just so people will quit asking over and over. And I'm sure even still they'll ask because they probably won't read it. Sorry that people aren't to intelligent Jang.
markmila 2004 Your best bet is to try finding it somewhere in the EU. The euro value changes along with the US dollar so it's hard to give an exact price as it could change tomorrow or even within the hour.
Pure Competizione Nice. The reason set 60052 is my favorite is because of the cow you get in it. Farm is my favorite sub theme ever done for lego city.
This Diesel engine from this set well it was very nice a little to me it can be based by a real diesel in Asia that was from the red cargo train and it did came out from 2011 which was 6 years ago back then and well there are a little sets of it and I see you the first one and then you got the other from fall of 2017 I don't know if this is the last one but it was nice to play with it.
TB7 Productions I hope so. I love trains so much, and he inspired me to modify 60053. I changed it to a shorter base, and that's one of my most fun Lego moments ever.
i think the track maintenance crew is wasted cargo space. it would be cool if they sold it just by itself, but in a cargo train set, i feel like it could have used that space for at least some containers.
Hey Jang could you do the Lego Creators tree house? If you can that will make me super happy! Thank you and I love your videos, hope you have a good day.
Thanks for your support! I reviewed the most recent Creator Treehouse Adventures set. All of my videos are on my channel, most in playlists, or you can find a specific one by searching for "jangbricks" and then the name or number of the set.
i just bought this set, but there's too much light grey bricks which is not cool enough compared to other colors, i'm going to replace some of the grey bricks to dark grey, black or white (you can find the train's original picture which the grey should be white, but the battery case is grey and they didn't change it to white, they changed part of the case to red though), also i'll repalce the green bricks to red to fit the wholte set
Good review, I think this is one of the best trains since the PF age started.
AlmightyArjen

That gopro scene was great! I'd love seeing more like it in the future!
Great review! +Gabriel Comeau Ah yes, well spotted!
Same part as the payload section for the rocket in 3368 Space Center.

hey JANGBRICKS you should add a track that go's uphill
Loved that closeup shot looking back at the train and riding along with it! Awesome!
who thinks there should be a Lego city recycling center?
me
Lego customs clone army there is
me!!
Lego customs clone army me

Thanks again for the review Jang! I really enjoy the videos with the trains rolling with the trains rolling through your city! You always record it with with a variety of cool views!

Great review! I really love when you show the trains running through your city!
I just love watching trains run on your track. Another great video!
Great set! This and the "Yellow" Cargo Train set that came out before it make for a busy setup. Very happy with this purchase.
I hate that I missed out on this set. I only started really getting into LEGO in 2013. Which is when I found this channel. Love ya Jang!
4:57 The model reminds me of an EMD SD40-2 and the paint scheme reminds me of Canadian Pacific.
0:05 when I first saw this set, i thought the yellow cab on the flatcar was a separate car! I also thought it came with a switch!
2:00 I imagine the flat car being a push-pull car, so you can reverse the train, like a modern caboose!

5:30 that's cool! they could've made the whole thing as wide as the frame with side doors, and I'll be fine!
May have to get that train again. One of my favorite locomotives they've released.
This train was my Childhood! It's not my favorite Lego set of all time but It's in 2nd Place! I got the set when it came out & I still have it all intact. My favorite Lego set was that blue & white cement mixer from 2008 i think.
btw, is jang going to keep this train all put together like his other trains? Because that would be awesome!
I have this set, though I got it a few years ago only, and I am very pleased with it. I haven't had enough track space to get another cargo train, and this one has always satisfied my needs.
I enjoyed the shots of the train traveling through your city.
Train stuff is good stuff!!! The only things I don't care for in Lego trains are the European-style bumpers, and the styling of the roofs; the roofs can be rebuilt, the couplers we are stuck with. Thanks for sharing!!!
I've been really looking foward to this review since you open the box in the haul video.
You are a great video maker very professional but still understand that they are toys and you make excellent reviews that help many people keep it up man,
Jang, are you planning to do a showoff of all you current trains? Custom and bought ones.
I would love a video of that, I know you have video's of them all seperatly.

Ahhh, I got this set Christmas of 2012, the memories!
Thanks for the review. Great set and good review. But in terms of playability and handling, I really liked the old remote control better than this "new" PF RC. I have the impression, the train does not stop that instantly with this RC compared to the old black one. In addition, the piece is a bit small for "large hands"
This was a good era for city sets. The modern sets just seem to be a little sparse on parts, almost like they cut them down to save money.
It's a good set for a Lego city and can really bring fun to kids like me. It's also a good Christmas present.
This seems like a pretty good set to get into the whole train sub-theme, for a fan of any age
used to be very into lego trains, I had no idea those flexible tracks were a thing until now, would have blown little me's mind.
wow your retiring please dont ill cry ive been watching you since your first few videos and watch all of them
Ending scene was really cool ty for that! :D
I like you Jang, no clickbait.
I don't know why but a Lego train riding through a Lego city has something relaxing xD
I had to choose between this one and the yellow cargo train that was available at the same time. I did prefer the look of this one quite a bit, and when I happened to see it on sale I snatched it up. I don't regret that decision.
I feel like those winding features would be faster if it was a small CRANK instead of a knob
Yeah, I am sad that I missed out on this. That locomotive is so nice.
0:50 with the hazardous waste car if you just set the track up and do some building around it , boom, lego csgo match
I like how this is perfect with the heavy haul train like the convaor belt can load the hopper wagon in set 60098 and the unloading is the same
For your dinosaur area you said u are going to build how about u make a actual park with rides so you can use theme park sets? Or just a dinosaur layout would be super cool too
Excellent work sir! Your city looks superb with the train rolling through it. Glad you are enjoying Legos these days. Hope you are doing well. (P.S. This is TheBlueKnight).
This brings back so many memories
This is my favorite Lego City cargo train set
I actually like the brown car, fits with the more realistic-ish locomotive, definitely more than the yellow one, which is very Lego-y.
hey jangbricks thanks for the idea of making lego base plates stick to the wall your awesome
It 8s really well designed of LEGO that the pallets also fit in the box car of the newest cargo train
I really like it, but there is one change that I would make. That large cylinder on top of the locomotive is right in front of the operator. I guess it's some kind of exhaust, but if it is, it really belongs at the other end of the long hood. Otherwise, this is a terrific set.

That train looks so good, great lego set.
Flo Zed I agree

hey - that last shot with the gopro (i'm guessing) was pretty sweet
Be it late or not, the review is great , though my first Lego train was going to be this set I picked up the one with the yellow Euro style engine. Not a fan of that , ended up using the Marsk engine set for my train Layouts engine. I enjoyed the final shots here looking back , keep up the great work and reviews.
Hey Jang! Just thought I'd let you know the date in the Set Details at the beginning of the video reads 2016 instead of 2011. Love your videos!! :)
it looks like a great set, one that got retired before i got back into lego, maybe you could have all the PF trains next to each other or a small review/ comparison
Wow, when you first did your unboxing video of this, I was waiting everyday till you review this. XD
Yes! You finally did it!
awesome review. not a question about the train persay but I wonder if Lego would or has already made a powerplant set ? that bio-waste has to come from somewhere for the train set lol
Your videos are so good keep doing what your doing, these video open up my imagination. 😀
You said 2011 but the brickset listing to the right said 2016... (btw, 2011 is the accurate year)
Strangely the Brickset listing is actually 2011 as well but in this video does show up as 2016.
Stephen Zacharias
Ye, I noticed :/ Went to brickset to look up the accurate year xD
The locomotive looks lot like the finnish Dv12 that is very nostalgic to many finns. Sad that I missed this.
U should add some of the train unloading parts into the train bay area
thank you jang! my son was cranky and inconsolable up until I put this on for him
such a beautiful train set. too bad its an retired set.
soo true dude
ikr...at first I thought this way new :(
George Antosca i know so sad
George Antosca
I want Moar trains!
George Antosca so true this 2017 they removed the old city sets already how sad
It'd be nice if people would just read the description like you say and stop asking if you're sponsored. It's pretty annoying that we now have to see a popup saying you're not sponsored just so people will quit asking over and over. And I'm sure even still they'll ask because they probably won't read it. Sorry that people aren't to intelligent Jang.
Some still ask. Some don't even ask, they just maliciously accuse.
Ah sorry to hear it. It really sucks that first it started as an annoyance to you, and no it has to become an annoyance to viewers and subscribers.
how much would this cost in euros
markmila 2004
Your best bet is to try finding it somewhere in the EU. The euro value changes along with the US dollar so it's hard to give an exact price as it could change tomorrow or even within the hour.
Nice video Jang! Have you considered the Lego Lone Ranger Constitution Train for your collection?
How far has Lego come
When I was younger I saved up for that and when I finally got the money I went to order it but it was not available and for sale on Amazon for $400.
That's cool Jang!
This set reminds me, are you planning on making a MOC of a hi rail truck?
Good train but my favorite Lego train is still set 60052.
Brick Lover 225
Mine is the Emerald Express, Maersk train, or this train.
Pure Competizione Nice. The reason set 60052 is my favorite is because of the cow you get in it. Farm is my favorite sub theme ever done for lego city.
Oh right, I thought 60052 was the passenger train. I've got a lot of comments to edit :\
Pure Competizione 60051 was the passenger train.
yah, I realised. 60098 is the newer red cargo train, right? or is that 60097? I keep getting the town centre and that mixed up.
I wonder if there is still a room dedicated to rc in that place. or if the ultimate rustler is still in jangs possession.
Jang, get the cargo train deluxe set from 2006! Review that one!😀
Can you make a video showing a car on tracks pushed by a train? Will it really ride smoothly on tracks with those small wheels?
love seing that skyscraper in the city
In Germany some people would run on the tracks to stop the train because it containes nuclear waste.
Cool. I was wondering when you were gonna get to this one. any plans on making more custom trains?
TB7 Productions
I hope so. I love trains so much, and he inspired me to modify 60053. I changed it to a shorter base, and that's one of my most fun Lego moments ever.
Nice vid bro!
Are you going to do a review of the official Lego Yellow Submarine?
this was my first Lego train. so much nostalgia
Same here.
me too
Ben Craighead my first one was the original freighter from 1996 looks a little bit like this one but yellow. I had so many trains, still have them
That set looks cool.
can you do a video where a train hauls all the carages you have?
Nice set. Really nice.
I remember seeing this on the lego website. I wanted it so bad but it was so expensive :/
i think the track maintenance crew is wasted cargo space. it would be cool if they sold it just by itself, but in a cargo train set, i feel like it could have used that space for at least some containers.
The only thing i dont like about this set is that the tipping car was differernt in from the heavy haul train.
Hey great review but when can we see some more of the year 2 dimensions sets
It's remind me of DB V100. LEGO could remake this set using in dark-red
Why I am picturing in my head the SW sets waging battles on your City while your own MOC forces battled the Empire?
Luis E Morales Falcon
What are SW sets?
Luis E Morales Falcon
Oh wait, it's Star Wars, right? Lol I'm so stupid.
I like the railtruck and 4 giys.
I'm sorry but I could not find a playlist of any lego creators sets.
He's already done it
This set was pretty cool.
That locomotive looks like "dv-12" (Finland)
more like a german BR series i think class 294 also with the same red color like the set has
Both of them resemble this LEGO train
I love that engine.
Cool. Thank you!!
i just bought this set, but there's too much light grey bricks which is not cool enough compared to other colors, i'm going to replace some of the grey bricks to dark grey, black or white (you can find the train's original picture which the grey should be white, but the battery case is grey and they didn't change it to white, they changed part of the case to red though), also i'll repalce the green bricks to red to fit the wholte set
How did you accomplish the train camera shot? It was neat!
Do more custom train builds
the price of this is insane. Power functions and some tracks doesn't justify literally doubling the price.
I missing 2 parts from dis set. a buffer, and one of the license plates
Looks Great
The locomotive is based off the Voith "Gravita"
