1 Thessalonians 5: 11.
Therefore encourage one another to build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 3: 12.
May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
Genesis 1: 27-28.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
Genesis 2: 18-22.
Then the Lord God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him."…So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh; and the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.
Ephesians 5: 25-29.
Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church…
Ephesians 5: 33.
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Matthew 19: 4-6.
"Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,' and said, 'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh'? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."
Malachi 2: 14-15.
But you say, "Why does he not?" Because the Lord was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.
Proverbs 3: 3-4.
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man.
Romans 13: 8.
Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
1 Peter 3: 7.
In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God's gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
2 Peter 1: 5-7.
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
Ephesians 4: 32.
Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
Hebrews 10: 24-25.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another-and all the more as you see the day approaching.
Ecclesiastes 4: 9-11.
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?
Ecclesiastes 4: 12.
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ephesians 4: 2-3.
…with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Proverbs 18: 22.
He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.
Song of Solomon 8: 7.
Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away. If one were to give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be utterly scorned.
Song of Solomon 8: 6-7.
Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy is fierce as the grave. Its flashes are flashes of fire, the very flame of the Lord. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can floods drown it. If a man offered for love all the wealth of his house, he would be utterly despised.
