Very good video! It is very important to contrast your experience with your photographs, so I really appreciate this opinion with images. A few minutes ago I bought this lens based on your experience to equip it with the EOS R6 Mark ii. thanks for your video thanks for your help. greetings from Chile
I agree it’s a great lens. I have it along with the rest of the RF trinity and RF 50+85 1.2, yet it is my most used. I prefer it to the 28-70 as a general lens due to size, weight, and 24mm. When I need a 1.2 nothing compares as there is a way bigger difference in bokeh between 1.2-2.0 compared to 2.0-2.8.
5:38 if anyone has this lens and wants the click to be removed canon allows you to send in your lens to get "de clicked" for $75 imo it should be free but this is sadly a way they nickle & dime you
Hi I love your videos. Could I ask you a question. I have the rf 24-105 f/4 but im thinking of to change it to rf 24-70 f/2.8 so what do you think . Sincerely Oscar
The 24-105 f4 is very popular mainly because of size, weight, and price. The EF version was my workhorse lens. I got the RF and was a little disappointed with the build quality. The RF 24-70 is a whole step above IMO, and I can adjust to the more limited telephoto range (70 cf 105). This is a superior lens for me.
** On my second lens from Canon. Both lenses have the slightest amount of play in the zoom ring that can be audible. Is this normal on a 2400$ lens, or did they produce a bad batch?? Any feedback from an owner would be greatly appreciated!!
@@jiggyb21 brand new.. I also checked a new one at Best Buy it was slightly loose too. and the 15-35 2.8 there had the same "problem".. I think its the design honestly now. just surprised no reviews mentioned it. or im just extremely critical of a 2400$ lens lol thank you for the reply JIGGYB21 :)
@@briancody8663 I did experience that with a well used EF 70-300 L lens. Currently I have the EF 16-35 F4 L, RF 24-105 L, RF 70-200 F4 L, and RF 100-500 and there is definitely no play in the zoom rings or anywhere for that matter. That would seem to make manual focusing unusable. That really is a shame and for that money there is no way I would keep it!
I lived in Whitefish and Glacier National Park was in my back yard, so to speak. 30 from front door to GNP gate. I wish I had the R5 and an RF 24-70. What a treat it was to live in Montana. Thanks for the review.
Thank you so much for this. I'm torn between waiting on the 28-70 f2 and this for my R, and thinking the IS is worth it for my shaky hands :D Great video and love the example shots. Beautiful :)
I know this is a good lens but I’ve got a question about my EF 24 to 70mm I was hoping you might can answer. I’ve got a wedding coming up and I’m trying to figure out if an EF to RF adapter will work when used on my R6 & on a gimbal? Sorry I know this is off topic but I can’t find answers anywhere.

Were they new lenses? If so, that is definitely not normal and I would return them.

Canon will de-click the control ring, for a fee ($80 I think). You’ll need to send it in for the service and be without it for a few days.

I have the EF 24-70 f4 with macro switch, will I miss out if I go to RF24-702.8?

It will. Your auto focus might not be as fast as an RF lens but it will work. Assuming the adapter you get has pass through connectivity for the lens.
Debating this lens right now. BestBuy is doing 24 month no interest currently
Thank you for the review
