- BLACKPINK's Lisa bought a mansion in Seongbuk-dong, a traditionally wealthy village in Seoul.
Actor Lee Min-ho, Bae Yong-joon, Chairman of Hyundai Group, and Chairman of Orion of Choco Pie are Lisa's neighbors. In the neighborhood next door, there is a house owned by singer Lee Seung-gi.
A girl from Thailand debuted as a K-pop girl group, became a world star, and became a resident of 330 Seongbuk-dong, where Korea's richest people live.

"Blackpink's Lisa conned out of over 1 billion won by manager"
Lisa of girl group Blackpink was conned by her former manager, losing over a billion won according to a report by local news outlet Market News.
According to the report published Tuesday morning, Lisa's former manager pocketed some 1 billion won ($816,000) of the singer's money after promising her it would be invested in real estate. The report alleged the manager used the funds for gambling.
"The manager had worked with Blackpink since its debut, and Lisa had depended on them from early on in her career," the report said.
YG Entertainment, Lisa's agency, confirmed the news in the afternoon and announced that the manager had quit the company.
"Lisa wishes that the case will be solved as smoothly as possible, since the manager was once dearly trusted [by the members]," the agency said, adding that "some of the money has been repaid, and the manager has promised to repay the rest."
"We are very regretful the manager abused the trust-based relationship a manager should have had with the artist, while also feeling responsible for [not properly] supervising."
Lisa debuted as the lead rapper of Blackpink in 2016.

I'm so proud of lisa, she came into a foreign country at such a young age away from her parents, worked hard, fulfilled her dreams, now the world acknowledges her work and she is successfully supporting her family in both the countries. Knowing her love for simplicity and the free spirit she is, it's no surprise she bought a house at such place. Her mom visits really often to see her, her family would need a safe place for her to be able to freely roam around, take her pets for a walk and cope with late night schedules. Lisa has always been the most humble and grounded idol, always checking in with her fans and appreciating all the love, she truly deserves all the best things in the world.

Generally I do not believe in news or channels that are not from their agency or the networks themselves. So a year later, upon confirming it on the LLOUD channel, I feel extremely proud and happy to see the success that Lalisa has. It shows that hard-working and kind-hearted people can have a prosperous life without having to change their personality.

I’m not sure if Lisa bought this as an investment or a long time residence but I can only assume she will be living in Korea for a long time since she spend that much money. She still lives with her parents in Thailand but I can also assume after they got done with all the Born Pink tours she’ll probably buy a mansion for herself in Thailand.

If you know lisa, you will understand why she bought a house in this place rather than in itaewon, gangnam etc. not just for it being a peaceful place, the safety and privacy for her family but lisa loves to take a walk. she loves to explore and discover places. she has been spotted few times before walking with her mom when they could have been driven by her driver. add the fact she is into photography and a good photographer so she always searches for art around her.
she mentioned in an interview before that she misses her trainee days where she can just walk and roam around seoul and its nearby areas by herself. yes she still can and she still does but there are instances where foreign fans spotted and approached her while she’s with her friends. yes she accommodated them, gave them autograph while on street but i know it bothered her because it’s her private time with her friends. not even her manager and bodyguard is with her. so it’s definitely one of the factors why she bought this.

It's quiet and private because neighbors are foreign embassies and chaebols. It probably took her a while to find this house because there's so much inventory in Seoul right now as far as mansions is concerned.
It seems like the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. Lisa chose very well!

I think Lisa chose this place with advice from her family. She comes from money and people with old money don't usually like flashy, trendy and highly populated places with a lot of commoners for security reasons, that's what new money chaebols would choose in places like Gangnam, Hannam, Itaewon etc
Old money chaebols love quiet, spacious and very private homes. Her family definitely inspired her. It's a beautiful place, it's nice when hard work pays off.

Also non-Koreans prefer buying mansions over apartments/condos when they have money. Korea is just one of the very few countries in the world where living in a luxury apartment or penthouse is king and chaebols are the only people that live in estates. Mansions in Korea tend to be slightly less expensive and they say buying them is like buying a car from the dealership, it loses its value the moment you start living in it.

Back in 2020 it was a heartbreaking moment for fans as well when she was scammed by her trusted manager so seeing that she has achieved one of her dreams of purchasing a real estate is so satisfying. I love her choice in neighborhood as well & it’s not because it is one of the wealthiest neighborhood in Seoul but it is a safe & private place for her & her loved ones. Also it has enough room for her fur babies to play & not worry about others, she deserves it.

I noticed that house!! So that house is located near Mexico Embassy, I have seen the house being renovated but didn't know it was bought by Lisa. Literally around Sep 2015 they started renovating the house. And in 2015, the house next to Lisa's wasn't an Azerbaijan Embassy yet. There is a Chilbosa Temple near Lisa's house, maybe if you walk around 5 minutes. Funny thing was, we played catch in the backyard, since we were located in the main street,(2 houses from the Orion chairman's place, btw that house was also newly built. ICYMI, chairman's house wasn't there just yet in 2018) the backyard was on the more elevated location, and our ball somehow fell onto Mexico Embassy's yard ahaha. Congrats Lisaaa! We aren't in that neighborhood anymore so it came as a cool news 🫶🏻
