Great live performance and he just recently performed Kieli Meken at the Opening Ceremonies of the Nomad Games in Kazakhstan Sept 2023 right before his 2 back to back mega concerts on Sept 13/14 2023 in Astana Kazakhstan for 60,000 fans total. You really need to watch one of his concerts (on his UA-cam channel) to really check out what Dimash is all about. He sings every type of song at his 3-4 hr concerts. Its Kazakh folk music but with a rock twist. Dimash is pretty famous for the amount of genres he sings in, sometimes you get pop, sometimes neoclassical (classical crossover but less classical) sometimes rock, hes also dabbled with rnb and blues recently. Being experimental is his style in a way.

Maybe you should use google...? The song was composed just few years ago. It's not a folk song, especially not a traditional Kazakh folk. Songs can fit more than one genre at a time. This one can definitely count as a rock song mixed with folk instruments. I really don't see the problem.
