എൽദോ മാർ ബസേലിയോസ് ബാവായുടെ ഓർമ്മപ്പെരുന്നാൾ 2024 | കോതമംഗലം മാർ തോമ ചെറിയ പള്ളിയിലെ പെരുന്നാൾ പ്രദക്ഷിണം | 02.10.2024 @ 10:00 PM
എറണാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ കോതമംഗലം പട്ടണത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന മലങ്കര യാക്കോബായ സുറിയാനി പള്ളിയാണ് മാർ തോമ ചെറിയപള്ളി. മാർത്ത മറിയം വലിയപള്ളിയിൽ നിന്ന് വേർപിരിഞ്ഞ 18 കുടുംബങ്ങൾ 1455 ൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാണ് ഈ പള്ളിയെന്ന് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. സഭാ ചരിത്രമനുസരിച്ച് 1685-ൽ സുറിയാനി ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് മഫ്രിയോനോ ബസേലിയോസ് യൽദോ കോതമംഗലത്ത് എത്തിയതോടെയാണ് ഈ പള്ളി കേരളത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമായത്. ഈ പള്ളിയിലെ അൾത്താര മുറിയിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തത്. ചരിത്ര പ്രസിദ്ധമായ കന്നി 20 പെരുന്നാൾ എല്ലാ വർഷവും ഒക്ടോബർ 2, 3 തീയതികളിലായി നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
