I gotta hand it to snake eyez man. He has grasp on the fundamental of parrying his opponents. That's why he's a monster to fight against because his ability to close spaces and shut down opponents keep away strategy.

As a Gief player I appreciate watchign SnakeEyez even while he was in SFV holding it down with Itazan as Giefs but boy are some match ups tough. If I see a JP or Dhalsim pop up on the screen I'm simply screwed.

The game is still fairly new, people don’t know optimal routes yet so characters like gief seem stronger than they are. People gave Potemkin way too much credit when ggst came out now he’s considered one of the worst characters at a top level.

Snake Eyez the most Legendary Zangief of ALL time and one of the World's best Potemkins always fascinates me very few players have his level of style, strategy and execution on grapplers! I always look back on his style to learn the style of Pro level tanks and of Course Zangief himself Zangief plays a lot like a Pro level tank!

I remember when street fighter first came out in the arcades. The line was literally out the door to play, and how long you could play on one quarter basically set your social status at school. Too bad you kids all play at home these days. Face to face competition is far more satisfying.

I was playing as zangief earlier today having a great time stomping through iron as a noob to street fighter. Got wrecked a couple times but mostly wins. There was this lily player though, her lvl 3 SA did so much damage was eye popping. Gotta study her more.
His hand makes contact with Ryu’s hands at the same frame that he gets hit with the fireball, so they both shoot back to a damage recoil frame of animation. It totally made contact though.
I don't even play SF but it looks like the character is just OP, some of his opponents landed more hits but they still don't equate to the damage that a single grab does.
Gief should NEVER get a dash, even if it's a game mechanic. He's now legit a Kodiak grizzly that can grapple with insane grab range. He's like a KOF fighter that got lost 😂
