I’ve seen all of those and really liked them all. Just FYI… special effects are those filmed on set. Like prosthetics, miniatures, fire, explosions etc. while those added later using computers are called visual effects or VFX.
"The Conjuring" was fantastic. My favorite horror movie so far (can definitely relate with holding the lights on afterwards). It was the most genuine suspense I ever got from a movie. Suffice to say "It" is quite a masterpiece as well, and with a great concept behind it. The rest I don't know. If i may throw in a recommendation check out "Visions". It also has a motherly theme and a great core idea. Think you'd like it.
I've literally got over 3000 horror movies on DVD. The Conjuring is one of my favorites. A few you need to watch are RawHead Rex and Evil Dead. You will not be disappointed!
Great movie The rite. Firstly I've watched it without much interest but in the end I realise it's very well played. Anthony Hopkins is amazing. I advise it ! Happy to see that in so many movies in the world we have this one in common 😊
I have seen all of those movies, except Crimson Pink and the remake of "It". Another one to check out is Darkness Falls. It is about the tooth fairy. As another fan has stated....Insidious is another good movie. I LOVE Stephen King's work!!!
Great list! I like the old black and white movies like Psycho and The Mummy. But you may like Quarantine and Insidious.Cant forget Pet Semetary. Looking great as always Lena!🤘🤘😁
I love all of your picks. They're all really great films and I absolutely agree with "1408"! If you like "The Rite", I recommend the 1999 supernatural thriller "Stigmata". It's very interesting and shot very tensely. "Identity" is another great thriller, as well as "Joy Ride". Some other supernatural thrillers I enjoy are "Angel Heart" and "Hereditary"(which the director has a new film called "Midsommar" coming out this year, which makes daylight look terrifying!!). The original "The Wicker Man" is a great British Horror film. A personal favorite of mine is the original "The Last House on the Left"(it's 2009 remake is also very well done, as far as horror remakes go.) The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the first "Phantasm" have soft spots in my heart for nostalgic reasons, as they were some of the first horror films I saw. Personally, I really love the Saw franchise. A new movie coming soon called "The Lodge" looks insanely terrifying!! And if you're into horror-comedies, I can recommend "Shaun of the Dead", "Zombieland", The Lost Boys, and even though it's a tough one to find "Behind The Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon" is a hilarious horror mockumentary. Sorry for being all over the place and dropping so many movies, but as you can tell by my name, it's my life.
I have never seen the Bram Stoker Dracula, or red the book, and I didn’t even know who this Irish writer was until I saw this video just a few days or so ago and I would never lie to you, not even in the years of infinity. I did however read a brief description on the Novel Dracula, by Bram Stoker, and apparently I have a lot in common with this writer. Many artists are very similar, and I’ve always been open about EAP being one of my influential writers and the connection I feel with The Raven as I continue writing the rest of the story. 10 years ago, when I realized my talent as a writer, I read a few books, but then I stopped reading for the most part because I didn’t want their style to rub off on me, similar to a singer not wanting to sound like another singer. I have only read 2 Stephen King books, Black House when I was 14, and more recently, Dr. Sleep, and when I was a child I read many Goosebumps books, and a few other good ones, and I originally began writing poetry and I desired to be a romance writer, fall in love with the most beautiful woman in the world, and live happily ever after. However, this did not work out as I hoped, but my writing finally came to life when I decided to enter into my favorite genre of the paranormal and exorcisms and I molded this with my love for poetry and writing romance fiction as well. Then something else amazing happened to me here recently as I discovered a new dimension to my abilities as a writer which revolves around the land of ble ble-ble😃, and I fell in love with something that I never ever want to lose. I have never felt more balanced in my emotions in my entire life, and my heart feels more excited than when Mario finally found his princess inside of that dark castle being guarded by an angry turtle dragon. I guess the sea turtles have a good reason to be upset. “What was it she whispered in my ear as the music died?” “It was something so beautiful and so sweet, something I never felt before.” “Was it Italian or Russia?” “I do not know because it is something I have never heard before.” Hey Russell, it’s Romanian, good luck resisting this radiant beautiful without the cold bars of separation 😃 Ps. I can’t wait to introduce everyone to the real Russell. Maybe I can give him the life he was never able to have😓
I'm a bit late to the party but maybe I'm lucky and this get's read still. I really like your taste for Horror. Basically watched and loved all of the movies you've presented (especially Dark Water) except for Crimson Peak, which I will make sure to watch soon. Personally I like both the psychological horror/thriller type as well as the gory ultra violent type of movies, but that depends on my mood. The first 3 SAW movies definitely are part of my all time favorites. As well as both the Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th series, and also the Hatchet series for their over the top kills. And, if you like weird mindfuck kind of horror, I recommend you take a look at some japanese movies like Junji Ito's Uzumaki. They're so different from western horror, just a real treat to watch.
Thanks for sharing some of your Horror favorites. I absolutely adore Conjuring 1 as well. Have you had a chance to watch A Quiet Place? It is soooo goood
All the evil dead movies and the remake, little shop of horror, the exorcist,1&2 gremlins, the 1985 fright night, childs play trilogy,28 days & 28 weeks later, poltergeist 1&2 that old man was creepy,30 days of nights, interview with the vampire,976-evil,as above so below, maximum over drive, sleep walkers,1991warlock,train to busan, tales from the crypt movies and the tv show, candyman, killer klowns from outer space, pumpkin head,1987 the gate, the possession of Hannah grace, legend 1986,the puppet master movies, the ppl under the stairs, the shining.
I don't watch any type of movies much. I don't know if The Craft is considered horror but I really liked The Craft and it is about witches. Similar to you as a kid I always liked stories and stuff about witches. That was a very taboo subject in my family because they were religious about things. I liked The Crucible. I'm trying to remember the name of the movie but it had Nicole Kidman and it was about two sisters who were descended from witches...a book by Alice Hoffman...(I really liked her writing a lot). I'll probably have to look it up. I remember when Dark Water came out. I never saw it but the title was intruiging to me because in the old language my name means dark water dou glas .... anyway it's impressive you held my attention for fifteen minutes talking about movies! ...are you working a spell on me?...thanks. Practical Magic that's the name of it. I used to have the VHS of it. It's been a long time since I've seen it. ...but I don't think it's technically a horror movie. Thanks.
I remember seeing 'The Exorcist' in a movie theater. I got real nausea watching it. I do not know was it fear or what, but if it was, then it must be that one for me. I stayed in, did not run out vomiting like Linda Blair, though. I love sci-fi too, so 'The Thing' (Kurt Russell one), 'Event Horizon' ('Hellraiser' in space), 'Alien'... 'IT' is also sci-fi, kind of... I've only seen older version, though. RIP Tim Curry. Hammer Horror movies are old but gold! I take 'Twin Peaks' TV series as horror, too. I does have demons... if you take it that way. Okay, there's a movie too, but it's just part of it all. There's a lot of movies I haven't seen in your list, so... Although for some reason when I've got older, I also fear watching horror more. I need that thick blanket nowadays, LOL!
The last horror movie I saw was Crimson Peak, which in Spanish is called La Cumbre Escarlata, and I really enjoyed it. I agree with all that about the beautiful scenography and costumes... Absolutely awesome. Personally, I would like to highlight the purpose of the ghosts along the story that I believe is not very common in other horror movies and I loved in this one
"Men @ Work" is 1 of my fav movies. Starring Mr. Charlie Sheen, I don't want to spoil it 4 u. But the moral of the movie.... it's based as a comedy/super hero style of basic usa cool dudes. I personally relate to the film as well. Thanks! ❤️🤘
Horror movies are some of my favourites... But most of them are so bad and boring. Only jumpscares, bad music, bad acting... But sometimes they work out super well and I'm actually scared. And then I'm excited and giddy for the whole day
listen to them...the children of the night...what sweet music they make....I enjoy Bram Stoker's Dracula as well...also the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre...the movies Hostel, and Wolf Creek were so " you never know, this could actually happen" that seeing them once was enough..truly disturbing
Lena, this is for your (criminal, mystic, horror): "After Life" (2009), with actor Liam Neeson "American Crime" (2004) "13 Sins" (2013) "Solace" (2015) "Funny Games" (2007) "Terrifier" (2016) "Unsane" (2018) "Upgrade online" (2018) "Calibre" (2018) "Strangers shouldn't talk to little girls" (2005) "Shot Caller" (2017) "The Lincoln Lawyer" (2011) "El hoyo" (2019) "The Purge" (2013) :) Еnjoy your movie :)
Awesome video and movie choices! Didn't know about that IT fact you mentioned about the kids not knowing how Pennywise looked like, that's pretty cool! Now I know which movies I'm gonna watch, thank you 🤘 Also, if you haven't already, you should totally watch the TV series Penny Dreadful. It is so good. You will love it, it has everything you mentioned about what you like in horrors. 🤘
"The Death Silence" a horror film with ventriloquist puppets(realy creepy puppets), a interesting story with creepy photo and a very crepy doggerel. 2007
Watch Lena's video of course, then you can go see some of the films if you have the services to do so. Sony Crackle (free service): Bram Stoker's Netflix: The Conjuring The Rite The others have to be rented or bought. Also, Lena, since you didn't mention any of the classics like The Shining were you trying to set a Judgemental Trap?
Stephen King is my favorite author. I am reading his book, "Mr. Mercedes", at the moment. A movie that messed with me is "Darkness Falls". It is about the tooth fairy. I had to sleep with the lights on for a few nights after watching it. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is based on the true events of Ed Gein. Check Ed Grin out if you like dark and macabre stories. (Gore factor is present)
If you haven't tried these yet I would very much recommend them. The Void, Session 9, and if you haven't seen it yet, on Netflix, 'The Haunting of Hill House' was incredible. And one horror-comedy Tucker and Dale vs Evil.
You have a good taste! I liked the first part of IT but the second one was very much overdone in my opinion. I got bored halfway because it was just screamer after screamer. Still, loved Pennywise his design! A movie that I LOVED is "the Witch". And if you are into horror-fantasy crossovers check Pan's Labyrinth. I think you will like it if you don't know it yet, the make-up is soooo amazing and the whole mood is mesmerizing.
If I have to choose, I'd have to say The Exorcist, Psycho, Hereditary and another one that I can't remember it's name but it kinda had a goosebumps vibes 🖤
You make me think of the gal in thirteen ghosts (movie) I'm the thirteenth bourne which is odd. It takes twelve ions to make a molecule. 🎃 Dracula? Cula translated is dragon. go figure, the capital "d" as written in the dovine (dragon) writ is four j's. my name is pronounced yon yon yon yon, the pronounced "john". or *jinn* Odin is "Dodjinn" in older writ. ®️🏴☠️♾️ I dig you're singing. Great stuff.
I love your taste in horror Conjuring and It I love them also you're awesome Lena I also like the non horror movies like The underworld I'm writing a novel about the Supernatural Vampires Werewolves and Witches just wanted to share that with you❤️
Please!!! check out a movie called Deliver Us From Evil starring Eric Bana and Olivia Munn. The movie is based on actual events, and is about a detective who comes face to face with demon possession. Other favorites include Poltergeist, The Possession, Silent Hill, Pandorum, and Event Horizon for your consideration. (-:
Thanks for doing this. I have a couple I need to see now. Here is some info on Dark Water from 2005 and the original Japanese 2002 movie. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Water_(2005_film)
I didn't watch "The Rite" and "Dark Water" so - I'll watch them. My favorite movie is The nightmare on Elm Street. Freddy scared my too much when I was small. But to day I think what he is a funny
Not sure if it is your thing but, I recommend Dark Skies or The 4th Kind (which is based on true events). Those movies freaked me out cause, they deal with aliens.
Lenuška 😁♥!!.. I love your stories !! 😉😊 .. Otherwise, a sleepy hole movie. is one of my favorites !! 😉😘 .. And Vera Farmiga in captivity of demons 1 is excellent !! 😉 !!.. “Get out” (2017) is a very interesting movie with unexpected outcome.
House of a thousand corpses great movie selection though love it cool vid 🖤🖤

The conjuring is my favorite horror movie, masterfully done.
The scene where the ghost claps and the lights go out didn't scare me at all
I watched "Crimson Peak" yesterday. I liked it. Charlie Hunnan plays in it. Good cast. Will watch the other later. Watched Sleepy Hollow again.
Great movie The rite. Firstly I've watched it without much interest but in the end I realise it's very well played. Anthony Hopkins is amazing. I advise it !

The most creepy movie I’ve seen at last time is “Hereditary” (2018). It’s a very creepy shit..😬
Yeah it was creepy, but the ending sucked in my opinion
you must watch Autopsy of Jane Doe & Insidious. horror suspense thriller
YES! Good one!

Salem’s Lot original 1979 miniseries. Scary AF at that time..... even now lol

I have to say, I came in to this expecting the typical favourite horror movie list, I'm pleasantly surprised that it was different! 🤘😁🤘
John Carpenter's "The Thing" with Kirt Russel. Love you. Please come to Chicago. Soon.
“Haunter”(2013) is really good movie.)
Better than Bram Stoker's Dracula only Nosferatu (1922)
Funny, I have all of those movies, good taste Lena...
I saw IT when I was 6, lol, probably why I'm a horror fan for life.
"Men @ Work" is 1 of my fav movies. Starring Mr. Charlie Sheen, I don't want to spoil it 4 u. But the moral of the movie.... it's based as a comedy/super hero style of basic usa cool dudes. I personally relate to the film as well. Thanks! ❤️🤘
@Bananas You probably have seen it but one of my favorite is Pumpkinhead!
Hell yeah a bananas video right when I woke up 🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌
Great titles. I watch them with my son, and he likes to tell people about them. As parents, we get a lot of dirty looks after he describes them.
If you need to see an older vamp flick, may I suggest Near Dark. I found that one very interesting
Horror movies are some of my favourites... But most of them are so bad and boring. Only jumpscares, bad music, bad acting... But sometimes they work out super well and I'm actually scared. And then I'm excited and giddy for the whole day
A lot of movies that I want to see again, now.
Mythical creatures like that roxxette song I'm flirting with u when I say that telepathically like you do
Jeepers Creepers, the Thibg, and 13 Ghosts are Good Horror movies too..... I'm sure they're somewhere on your List... lpl
Jeepers Creepers It is one of the horror films that has fascinated me the most, too bad for the third part. I haven't been able to see it yet
13 Ghosts (2001) the absolute best.
I’d recommend she watch some classics like American werewolf in London, the fly, or the thing
listen to them...the children of the night...what sweet music they make....I enjoy Bram Stoker's Dracula as well...also the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre...the movies Hostel, and Wolf Creek were so " you never know, this could actually happen" that seeing them once was enough..truly disturbing

Omg I like the remake of “it“ more, too! I thought I am the only one 😂
I grew up by those ones. IT, is epic! 🌹 Did you mentione The Exorsist? It's older than me, and it still creeps me totally out!🤟👌
"The Death Silence" a horror film with ventriloquist puppets(realy creepy puppets), a interesting story with creepy photo and a very crepy doggerel.
2007
Watch Lena's video of course, then you can go see some of the films if you have the services to do so.
Sony Crackle (free service):
Bram Stoker's
Netflix:
The Conjuring
The Rite
The others have to be rented or bought.
The Void yes!
My kind of genre ⚰️👻
I think you would love a film called Inside.A woman exacts her revenge on a woman who’s paths crossed in an incident….
Green inferno, ghost ship and Texas chainsaw massacre (2003). Must see!
I dig you're singing.
Great stuff.
The best horror movie i have ever seen is my life.
I love your taste in horror Conjuring and It I love them also you're awesome Lena I also like the non horror movies like The underworld I'm writing a novel about the Supernatural Vampires Werewolves and Witches just wanted to share that with you❤️

Check out a movie called demon.its a foreign film, well it's foreign to me because I'm American lol.have you seen any of rob zombies films?
Dear Lena, did you like horror movies from Asia? Two of my favourites Ju-On and Noroi come from there 😉👍🏻
I love that movie too it's super awsome.
Please!!! check out a movie called Deliver Us From Evil starring Eric Bana and Olivia Munn. The movie is based on actual events, and is about a detective who comes face to face with demon possession. Other favorites include Poltergeist, The Possession, Silent Hill, Pandorum, and Event Horizon for your consideration. (-:
SUSPIRIA, the original and the remake.
My favorite horror movie is The Thing from 1982.
Sisters is a cool thang very respectfully
I love your Fangs Lena 😍😍😍
Sleepy Hollow -
Crimson Peak -
We love you too
