A trick for you when finished with spreading slurry suck in a small bit of desil through the pump, put it in spreading, let it rinse the turn the handle sucking itb cleans all the veins inside of it great job
Great video Phil It's good to see you were paying attention to what father Phil was doing and are now putting that to use improving your mechanical skills. I am a true believer in if you take care of your equipment it will take care of you.
I am here kind of by accident, but I watched your entire video as it has a very nice feel to it and you earned a new subscriber. Currently I am building a vacuum pump that's a bit more precise than yours, since I'm making the vanes out of stainless steel and it is going to work for more or less scientific purposes. I am super paranoid about balancing it out perfectly and having every tiny little bit as close to perfect as possible, but seeing your pump working in conditions worse than mine will ever see is definitely making me more calm. I will still probably spend a whole bunch of time on sanding it down as best as I can, but I probably won't have my heart racing nearly as much when powering it up for the first time, partly because of you! Thank you! ❤
I have never seen that done before were the gentleman puts the two bolts into the casing and pulls it straight off good idea thank you very much❤👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You should invest in a 20V Cordless Oscillating Multi-Tool for cut them roots off the rock picker. There time saving and cheap and you can use them to cut a 1000 different things. Worth every penny.
Brilliant camera people to get you straight in to have a good look at the gentleman's machinery thank you very much❤👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great vid but you should not chisel the end plate off their will be some threaded holes on the end plate which you use to pull the plate off take out the bolts and use two in the threaded hole to pull end plate off
Pretty sure those vanes are well wore out in the last tank pump. Depending on pump type if that is hertell or mec but usually the more updated pump have 8 vanes and higher efficiency on vacuum. 5 vane pump is ok but needs to rev’d faster to get sane output.
Nice one Phil. Did you see the video Agriland had up there today showing thees little mini splash plates that this man designed to be fitted to the end of the pipes on the dribble bar to fan out the slurry and prevent these lines of slurry drying out on the ground only to be picked up by mowers and rakes, sounds like a good job, you'd be the man to test them out
One problem tho is if your supposed to be dribbling your slurry for deregation etc and the eye in the sky sees the field looking splashed not dribbled and flags it as a violation then what? It looks to be a good job but until there’s some clarification from the department it could be risky
I was instructed as a young tractor driver that if any sign of slurry came through the pump make sure you suck some diesel into the pump before you finish the day.
Open up the ball trap above pump and wash out if its letting slurry through ive seen it dry in layers, cake up and restrict air flow to the pump slowly slowing it down
Come on now Phil, you can't fool me! Now I think your videos are great but Jesus, that old tanker must of been at slurry since you bought it or its missed a few end of season washes! She's turning green!!! 🤣
Are them vanes a little wore and loose in the smaller pump? Would new vanes increase it's efficiency? Did Father Phil give a second opinion before you put it back together?
Our favourite farmers in the world 🌎 spreading poo 💩 again are we.We love father Phil as well .So good luck 🤞 with everything.🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙌😻😻😻😻😾😾😾😾😾😺😺😺😺😺😽😺💚💚💚💚💚💟💟💟💟💟💩💩💩💩💩💩💩😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
The hole's are slotted in that plate and you are supposed to fit 2 dowels to align the pump back plate to prevent it hanging on the front bearing. Did you think they slotted them for the crack!🤷🤦
Fantastic people love the videos very knowledgeable people all the best to them all❤👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love watching Father Phil fixing stuff. Great video 👏🏻

Good one PHIL nice to see father Phil on the job takes lots of work to keep things going but you always get the job done!
Keep up the good work at fixing the slurry tanker philip
Father Phil a very wise person ❤️👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good service and maintenance work done farmer Phil, and it's good as new as the saying goes.

Jacking screws are handy for sure
Goodman phil, great yee are able too get your equipment fixed yourselves, keep videos coming
Great video and top interview especially considering no gps so having to fully operate the combine at the same time!!
Super video, your turning into a magician on the mechanics but the master is still the master, great to see him.
Good video.we find that sucking/blowing a few litres of diesel trough the pump occasionally keeps ours running smoothly
Thanks for showing the pump maintenance
Good to see that you're able to work on your equipment to get it going. Those new shirts are very sporty looking fer sure.
Father Phil to the rescue again nice new set of wheels in the yard there for a small ferguson

Great job Phil. . Combine must be next on the list
I think I would have replaced the vanes in last tanker.
Change those vanes Phil, they are worn beyond my liken, one of them snaps it will do serious damage.
I think the same there very worn out
A brilliant gentleman who knows his way around machine❤👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hon Phil and Rory . Top lads 🔝
Hon Mayo!
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼
Great video, maybe a new set of vanes in the older pump might speed it up or upgrade it altogether to the same type as the newer tank…
Great video on tanker Phil
Great video.did you only put sealer on half of face?
@13:56 Use the same Long bolts to pull it back on, bit by bit.
Good video!!! Phil!!! 👍
The M12 stubby is some tool, i have one and it made all my other impact guns obsolete,
Brilliant camera people to get you straight in to have a good look at the gentleman's machinery thank you very much❤👀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I think liv had the toughest job on the stone picker
Great video phil
Hi Phil, what's the story with the 6480 loader tractor
Good video Phil
There could be a build up of dirt on the grill, you'll have to take the top piece of the pump to clean that.
Pretty sure those vanes are well wore out in the last tank pump.
Depending on pump type if that is hertell or mec but usually the more updated pump have 8 vanes and higher efficiency on vacuum.
5 vane pump is ok but needs to rev’d faster to get sane output.
If it spits slurry out when your filling could you need a new ball valve in the trap?
Nice one Phil. Did you see the video Agriland had up there today showing thees little mini splash plates that this man designed to be fitted to the end of the pipes on the dribble bar to fan out the slurry and prevent these lines of slurry drying out on the ground only to be picked up by mowers and rakes, sounds like a good job, you'd be the man to test them out

Theyres 2 threaded hole on the end cap off them pumps but 2 bolts back into them and it will push the plate off
I was instructed as a young tractor driver that if any sign of slurry came through the pump make sure you suck some diesel into the pump before you finish the day.
Youd wanna put a new set of vanes in the second pump phil one of them will snap soon lad there well worn
Open up the ball trap above pump and wash out if its letting slurry through ive seen it dry in layers, cake up and restrict air flow to the pump slowly slowing it down
My apologies I see you used the threaded hole on the second pump but you don't need to take the sir clip off only if you need to change the bearings
After 10 years would you not think of putting a new set in 🤔
I used to suck diesel through the pump once a week when busy. And didn't you measure the vains to check the wear ?
Do the dribble bars not help keep them cleaner than splash plate? Are you splashing too?
Some jobs we do are splashed
Hydralic is great job, what’s happening the 6480 now?
Come on now Phil, you can't fool me! Now I think your videos are great but Jesus, that old tanker must of been at slurry since you bought it or its missed a few end of season washes! She's turning green!!! 🤣
Could flush pumps out after you have finished
Are them vanes a little wore and loose in the smaller pump?
Would new vanes increase it's efficiency? Did Father Phil give a second opinion before you put it back together?
father phil was away and in hind sight i shouldve put new viens in it
Should have turned the veins when you had them out 😉
Where did you get the bolts and nuts to supply the loft ? How did the shirt stay clean 😅
Kramp sell them in bundles
Is the third tank still in use or did ye sell it
Sold it
It's not quite as handy to get at the veins if the pump isn't hydraulic driven ast that plate u took off is sitting back next the tank
I would change those vanes they are worn and if one breaks could do harm
Me father is delivering a major topper to you tomorrow
Great to hear

Well now I know why👍
Slacken bolt's and push in a tapered punch then try pushing in a 10 mm drill bit! I think it's 10 mm hole's!🤞👍
Well
👍
those vanes are worn on the 2nd tank!!
👍👍🙏🙏🇨🇮🇨🇮
