They weren't stealing a car which resulted in the person's death. The car stealing was a result of a robbery gone bad. This tape has been around for quite a while now.
What's unusual is that if an officer has ANY questions about what's going on, they usually handcuff the person for BOTH of their safety. Sometimes they even put them in the backseat of the police car until it's all sorted out. This could have gone SO wrong, in SO many ways. Rick Charleston SC
Looks like maybe a small town cop. Probably doesn't see this level of crimes often. Just thought it was a random speeding, weed offense and maybe stolen car at the most.
Yeah, but where did the old guy go? By the time backup showed, the maroon truck and the old neighbor guy was Gone. So, if he's involved, he took off and it looks like the kid gets Life all by himself. Even though they said he was involved in an attempted robbery. Was the old guy involved in that? Or was it someone else? I guess we'll never know
Wow.. This was a crazy situation... I have nothing to say but wow. I've been watching you two for maybe a year or so now. So happy you guys are bringing a life to this world. You're going to be great parents
Well the moral of that story is, if you're going to run around with a DB in the trunk, don't speed, signal turns, and don't have a light out. Unfortunately in Colorado no one is allowed to approach a police stop scene. If you do, you risk being cuffed or shot. It's just not safe for the officer, especially if he/she is state and backup is 150 miles away.
Criminals are idiots but they aren't stupid. You are correct, if you don't speed the odds of any cop pulling you over are minimal. After a few hours bodies start to bloat and smell. Also, he wouldn't exactly be moving around in the trunk or thumping on the lid...But yes, after the bullshit about the license, address AND weed he probably should've been in cuffs. It's possible the cop was trying to give him a break, thinking he was just driving high. The smell MIGHT have given him probable cause to search but i'm not a lawyer. In the US you DO NOT have to consent to a search of your vehicle; and lawyers will advise you to NEVER consent. If you are under arrest however, that option is removed due to probable cause. We also have the "5th" which essentially means you do not have speak to the police without a lawyer present. Dumbass should've have simply said, "I'm not answering questions"
I have an extensive history in EMS. I’m a former paramedic as well as a dispatcher and I have multiple family members who are police officers. There is NO such thing as a routine traffic stop for any officer! It’s actually one of the most dangerous things any officer does on a regular basis
These kinds of stories have always been awful to hear about but they started hitting me 100x harder when I had my daughter. The idea that someone’s adorable little baby could grow up to murder someone before they’re even out of their teen years is hard to fathom! And someone else’s adorable little baby was taken away forever. It’s horrific.
Let that be a lesson for you. If you put a body in the trunk or transporting drugs, you NEVER break the speed limit or other road rules. Stay calm and don't raise suspicions
No, turns out he wasn't. Besides, you see your partner in crime pulled over by a cop, you aren't stopping. You drive by, don't even glance at them, leave the country, change your name.
@@wolfe6220 then what was his purpose there in a different state? You don’t let someone who you commit a crime with get a chance to rat you out. If he provided a cover story and only a ticket was issues they would be free and clear.

@@BXBATMAN Let's try this again. The older guy was not associated with the murderer. He was a friend to the family of the victim. If older man was part of the murder, he would have just driven by without a glance.

I bet he was running on adrenaline. That could be why he was driving like that. In his mine he was probably thinking just get rid of the body and he panicked. If he obeyed the road laws he might have gotten away with it. Makes you wonder how many times people did get away with this.
And that cop after he saw the bullet holes should have went directly to the trunk, gun, drawn! If this is a major city, and they’re highway cops that see a lot of accidents and dead people this probably doesn’t phase them that much! But that happened in a small town this might traumatize them
Set the knowledge of the body in the car and with the cop not knowing the kid doesnt have to answere any questions. But at this point with just the weed that the cops know about they are gonna search it anyway. And if he didnt give them consent to search they woulda just brought out a k9 unit
Most usually the suspect will jump.out of the car shooting the officer before he realizes what's happening. There can be no regular pull overs by police where there is no threat of danger. That officer was lax in not handcuffing the guy right away, and the car that pulled in behind the police could have been friends of the boys who could have shot the officer. Too sad.
Well, I don't know guys. This is an older video that's been around the internet for a while. Now, I've seen it a couple of times in the past year. They weren't stealing a car which resulted in the person's death. The car stealing was a result of a robbery gone bad. This tape has been around for quite a while now.
