Your doing such a good job on your channel. I love the way you take the time to explain your steps in the videos and it not too elaborate just the right info. Big up!
They look so perfect🔥I remember back the days going high school in Jamaica, these were always my favourite snack to make coconut drops and peanut drops,Love it❤️❤️
you probably dont give a shit but does anybody know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
Thank you! My grandmother was Bajan and my Dad used to make a coconut candy using STRIPS of coconut rather than diced chunks. I can’t find a recipe for candy exactly like his, so it seems that his recipe died with him over 35 years ago, and I’ve been heartbroken about that because I always loved when he made it. Your recipe is the one to come closest to the consistency of my Daddy’s candy, except I think he used white sugar. I’m going to start with your recipe and then experiment from there each time I make it… remembering my Daddy with love in each bite! Thank you so much!💐💐💐
Hi @SistahRev! The Jamaican drop recipe is similar to the classic Filipino dessert. The abundance of coconut trees in the Phils make it easier for us to cook that in many ways. Here are few of the you tube channel you may want to see for different ways to cook that dessert from coconut meat. The local name of that recipe is Bukayo. Hope it helps. @@elizabethsumayod2498 OMG, you are SOOO sweet! Thank you thank you thank you for caring enough about a stranger, and taking the time to point me to more resources! I’m excited to check them out! Blessings on you & yours!🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤗
Thank you for sharing your recipe. Vietnamese have similar recipe. Yours looks so yummy and beautiful. I’m going to try your recipe. We have plenty of coconuts in Florida
I grew up eating this it was one of my favorite after school snack. OMGOSH this video brought back memories from when my mom used to make them. I got to Big Up your Dad for not throwing away the Coconut Watah this time lol
@Extremely Clever I agree this definitely brings back a lot of memories. I honestly thought about you in the process so I made sure that don’t happen this time lol. Big up yourself!
Trying this now but I’m going grind up a little Himalayas salt with a little Pimento and after I drop the drops I’m going to lightly sprinkle from a height. Not too much though
Sorry about that. I had copyright claims on the background music not only on this video but few others so UA-cam edit it a bit hence the missing parts. I planned to redo a few of them though.
Big up Daddy for all his help with this recipe!

What did you grate and add to the coconut?sound disappeared
I think fresh ginger
I can smell it through the phone 😩🤤
❤❤
So if I was to make these but use peanuts instead, how many cups did 2 coconuts yield once cut up? Thanks
Do you have a recipe for sweet potato pudding? I have black cake which I do every year. But need swept potato. Thanks
@paulreen brown I do, I posted the recipe some months ago.
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats OK will look for it.💪💪🙌🙌👏👏❤❤❤

Can you use regular brown sugar?
Yes
I tried this yesterday and it didn't come out good, now I know where I went wrong
Could I use ginger liquid instead of grated ginger ?
Yes
If your using foil paper how is it done
Place the foil paper onto a baking tray(lightly grease it) and add the drops. They will harden and set just the same.
🇯🇲 Authentic Plantbased Eats should the tray be heated
@Janell Bailey No dear, just use as is.
You just take that Coconut out of its shell like it’s no problem.
I suck at that so much🥲
It's so the coconut drops won't stick to the leaf and also to kill germs from the leaf
Yes so the drops don’t stick.
Sound missing in chunks, as is the transcript.. hard to follow, unfortunately
Sorry about that. I had copyright claims on the background music not only on this video but few others so UA-cam edit it a bit hence the missing parts. I planned to redo a few of them though.
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats thanks for replying
Me like the video before me watch it. Where are you based?
@Pat Williams Thank you! I’m based in Florida.
Yummy-You didn't taste.
