- We welcomed vet and World Horse Welfare trustee Sarah Coombs and expert researcher Dee Pollard to talk to us about laminitis. Sarah explained to us what laminitis actually is, what causes it and the treatment options available. She clarified what steps we, as owners, need to take should we suspect our horses have laminitis.
Dee then spoke about her research findings, highlighting at which times of year most cases of laminitis occur, the main risk factors associated with laminitic events and, most importantly, what steps we can take to reduce the risk to our horses. Both Sarah and Dee were on hand at the end of the webinar to answer questions or queries from the live audience.

This is an amazing, informative recording from experts that you've given all of us access to. So thankful for this excellent starting point; all horse owners should watch.
What if horse is sore on hard ground but is happy to trot and canter round field , he has been just diagnosed with cushings
Interesting...need more info though
Is there a vaccine for ringworm horses can take? Or a tablet? Just thinking out loud here: do you try to get "herd immunity" which is a common term nowadays with the CV and by treating aggressively with Imavarol, you slow the spread of ringworm, but it still eventually seems to infect all the horses, one after another? Marije still has it on her rear but momma, Saly, does not and they use the same stall. I know dogs and cats can take a pill and stop worms. Great teaching video! Number 3 here LOL, and it is 8:40 am, California time. Merry Vlogmas, everyone!
Ringworm is a fungus not a worm ... no vaccine and herd imminutiy would not work
Ringworm isn't actually a worm, it's a fungal infection, so a dewormer won't do anything to prevent or stop it.
