I bought the same bike brand new in 2021 November here in England. I traded it back to the dealer in June 2022 , lost about £7k. Only did 2900 miles. I had a lot of issues with mine.
1 Adaptive cruise doesn't always work, it was trying to ram me into the vehicle in front on multiple occasions and giving me the error message.
2 Moisture getting in the left hand switch gear, the indicator cancel didn't always work.
3 After going for night shifts, when trying to get home, when I turn on the bike , the dash will come on but the bike won't start for no apparent reason. This really put me off from doing long trips. I keep the battery always charged in my garage.
4 I traded in my 2018 v strom 1000 for this, looking for a bit more power but the bike will never go past 118mph. There is a death wobble that starts and gets increasingly violent to the point where it will become fatal. I saw a few people online having the same issues. I tried all settings with suspension and rear preload but apparently it's an aero issue and ktm won't reply.
I will probably never buy a ktm ever again.

These small electrical GREMLINS plus the CANBUS B.S and probably the dedicated KTM software + scanner needed to troubleshoot it make me VERY reluctant to get rid of my Japanese Dinosaur.
I like KTM and it's Origami looks BUT I'm not ready yet to put up with this B.S on a brand new bike.
Maybe one day if they ever release the "Pikes Peak" test mule that have been spotted testing like 2 or 3 years ago.
Best of luck and keep us informed how things go forth from here. 😊👍

I understand your point of view. When I was a younger man, I had a couple of Hayabusas, and I never had an issue with them due to their simplicity.

yes. i wish the japanese bikes would do a high hp offroad capable adv. Like gsxr or r1 adv to rival multistrada v4 and ktm but with japanese simplicity and reliability. 180hp minimum. A new tenere based on crossplane r1 engine would be awesome.

@jonasbaine3538 I honestly think the next leap for this bike is a shaft driven variant. I understand why they chose a chain driven option for trail maintenance, but the S model is a road queen. I would pay extra for a shaft drive option.

@@caseba0116 you would be better off with a proven reliable bmw shaft drive bike vs any ‘new’ design from ktm. New r1300gs should be close to acceleration rate of 1290 and ducati at low speeds. 145hp now. I could see triumph doing shaft long before ktm.

My super duke is having the same front break failure the whole time man. My new out of the box super adventure S after 5m of riding the suspension issue went off just like how you described…… I have my fingers crossed🤣🤣🤣

So far, my suspension issue just happens randomly. It hasn't happened in about a month or two, but I believe these bikes have some electrical gremlins that need to be worked out.

One other think which happened on my bike and I see is starting to happen on your bike as well is the paint on the clutch reservoir is coming off. Only other issue I had was the connection to the rear lights came undone. Haven't had any of your issues. I guess this is just part of the standard KTM experience! Love the bike though.

Thankfully I havnt had those problems with my 23. But I have had a quick shifter issue. Sometimes it won’t upshift. Or get stuck in between gears. Run into thst issue? I’ve just quit using it. I was a little concerned with I got mine. So I got the extended warranty. Other than that, I love mine. It’s the best bike I’ve had.

I didn't install the tech pack on mine, so I haven't seen that issue. I personally believe that if we pay $20K for a motorcycle, it should come with everything. Foul on KTM!

@@caseba0116 I agree. Lol. But my dealer basically gave me mine for free. So I can’t complain. It was my first adventure and first Ktm. Looked at the multi too. But I’ve seen some major electrical issues with them too. So. Bugs are bugs. They all have them.

KTM “Ready to Race”… to the dealer for repairs. Even Husquvarna has better reliability. I swear KTM purposefully builds problems into there bikes to make money. And nothing like taking your $20k bike in for repairs to someplace called Bob’s lawnmower and KTM.

I find it strange electrical fails i have done 25,000 miles on mine always leave fogs on i do know that the battery needs to be in peak charge all the time else you get errors.. Sometimes rear pre load shows yellow i wait till battery fully charged and it's good. the acc 2 port take off is for gps and spots on mine. There only little things that a good KTM dealer should correct.for you I really enjoy my 1290s hope you get it sorted soon and enjoy the bike. ride safe youtube@flapjackandbeans
