Discourse Strategies for Inquiry Science: Prompts as Discourse Tools

A middle school science teacher gets his students to think and talk about science by utilizing key words and phrases. Using prompts within and between group activities is one way students can analyze and clarify scientific information. The use of discourse tools are used during Consensus Placemat and Gallery Walk learning activities.
