      @E S The pathetic thing is the irony of you not realizing the real beta is you. You already know this, though. Thats why you hide behind this tough guy facade because you can't handle the reality. You wouldn't even have the balls to off yourself. Look in the mirror. The real beta is you.

      E S he still did more with his life than you will ever do with yours. Even if you were given 5 chances at life, you’d still not be as successful as Byron.
      You clearly know nothing of him or what he did for others around him. Suffering with manic depression and having suicidal parents after the loss of his brother.. id love to see you do half as much as him during the circumstances

      Uh, you do know Byron stepped away for more than a long time after his most recent Japan trip? He legitimately stopped streaming for a couple months. He HAS stepped away but he's not that kinda guy that derives happiness solely from his own well-being, he derives it from pleasing other people from what I've seen. Byron seems like a heavy empathiser in a lot of ways, just not in all the ways possible.

    Is there anyway that some normal viewer can send something to Reckful and have him actually see it and think about it? Listening to the beginning of this video really hit me hard. I've been struggling with this same thing for years and years now. There's just a couple things I want to send to him because I think it'll make him a bit happier knowing there's other people, like me, in his situation. I've been so depressed lately with the same thoughts as he has and since I'm an emotional person like him I just think it would be good for the both of us. Obviously I'm not doing this for anything, fame or even friendship, I'm just in a dark spot at the moment and it seems like he's been through it. Thanks

    lol he's naming only americans; when in reality the majority of blizzcons have been won by europeans, let alone the back-to-back wins from the germans boetar and swapxy, those are the REAL best players ever, not all of those names he called. and all the highest rated players ever also are from EU

    • @Exata1337
      @Exata1337 6 років тому

      "highest rating" has always been a bad comparison when the ladders are separated (and ladder rating in general usually didnt mean squat except that you played a good laddercomp), but Boetar and Swapxy cant really be called "best players ever" as theyve both played the game at gladiator ratings forever, until they both got a breakthrough when other players quit and their classes(comps) suddenly became broken.
      Neither Boetar nor Swapxy have had any luck playing a bad comp, although ill admit Boetar and swapxy have improved since the times when i met them, they arent really near being the "best of their class". Except maybe Swapxy since he plays enhancement shaman, which doesnt really have any competition at all

      I didnt say OP comps, i said "good laddercomp".
      Good laddercomps are stuff that does well against everything and either only loses to the top comp, or the joker comps(aka, few of those on the ladder to stop you).
      SP rogue was BY NO MEANS a bad comp at all during cata. It was actually one of the best laddercomps you could play. It would do well against pretty much everything, and while you would have stressful fights against meleecleaves, the majority of the meleecleavers (specially on the US ladder) were bad players, meaning you ended up having the advantage anyways as it wasnt even a counter when both teams were at a certain skill level.
      What you said at the end is exactly what im saying myself lol. EU has more people so naturally the players there have always been better (except in a few regards, for example Neilyo as rogue in TBC, and shamans ever since Kollektiv and Cdew played them)

    • @Leeroynumanuma
      @Leeroynumanuma 6 років тому

      true, flýn has always been really good, especially as mage, but pussied out and started playing hpal (if i'm not mistaking him for another player), on the other hand marm, who had performed on top level on every high skill based class (besides hunter, haven't seen him play that class), kept playing rogue, mage, priest, (lock too but affli doesn't make such plays as the classes mentioned before), and could compete with all of them on the top of the ladder
      i do sound biased, but i really liked marm's playstyle and decision making

      ofc he was the best on wotlk, he has played the expansion for like 8 years even after it ended. Marm wasnt anywhere near the top DURING the expansion, and thats why its ridicilous to consider his achievements 8 years later; on a private server and with limited competition. Im sure theres somebody out there whos now considered the "god of vanilla wow",or cata, or mop, because theyve played vanilla or the other expansions for 12 years after the expansion ended, however its just dumb to even mention their names, as the question is who was the best player DURING that time.

      You cant even bring them into the equation lol

    • @Exata1337
      @Exata1337 6 років тому +1

      Think the session ure talking about is the start of season 9, when most shit was completely busted. I remember meeting them in a 3s game during that season, and marm didnt play for very long at all from what i remember. Like im not saying they were complete garbage players, they were gladiator material and in some cases rank 1 material, but they were FAR from the best of their class. Marm wasnt exactly the reason the RMP with khuna and raiku went so well, as i can say from personal experience having actually faced them and other RMPs (besides, priests were so shit at this point of the game that Hydra and kalimist was playing 3dps ShadowpriestRMP with better results, so the priests role in that comp was minischule). If marm was ranked nr 1 on the ladder during late s9 or mid s10, or during wotlk, id agree, but i never really saw this guy anywhere until s9, and didnt think of his name much until people started mentioning him when he got good on AT, like 6 years later. Mehh on the other hand would probably be really good if he spent more time on the game, as he was pretty damn good on live realms when he invested time into the game, definitely on par with the better priests out there

    • @Exata1337
      @Exata1337 6 років тому

      I think you misunderstand. Im not saying Marm is a bad player, as by now he is the best wotlk player there is.
      Im saying that its unfair to bring him into the equation as he was never a relevant player on official live servers. He was just a guy that people heard off because he got good at a game that officially didnt exist anymore, after everybody quit.
      Its like ive mentioned to some guy earlier here; there is most likely some random guy out there whos the absolute best player at vanilla wow now, because he has played vanilla
      since it ended roughly 12 years ago. Same goes for cata, mop, wod, legion etc. Its just sort of pointless to mention them, as they werent relevant when the content was live, on official servers.

    • @Exata1337
      @Exata1337 6 років тому

      Not sure how im ignorant, im stating that its ridicilous to bring up a guy as "the best" when he 1. never was heard off until AT (or well, early cataclysm when shit was broken i guess).
      2. Was never rank 1 from what i recall (unless it was a backwater bg like i said). Being r1 at the start of cataclysm wouldnt prove much either as the r1 team on eu cyclone during that time was a 2,2k rated turbocleave due to the existing mmr bug and how broken that comp was for the first week.
      Im not not ill informed at all, but i both played during these times and had a keen interest for the ladder drama that occured every season, and Marm is a name i never heard of until i met him at gladiator range in s9. Either way, bringing up people that play a game after its expiration date is sort of silly, dont you think?
      Like i said, why arent you mentioning the best players from some vanilla private server? Or a cataclysm private server? Or a wod private server?
      When people think "whos the best players in wow" its about whom were playing on official servers during the time it lasted, not on a private server 8 years later. I know for sure that the tournament you're talking about took place over a year after wotlk, as there is no way Hydra got to play the amount of games and comps he played in that season on live, while also staying relevant on a private server from a different expansion. I also remember him being extremely rusty when playing it again, so it had to be a while inbetween. Either way, the point was simply that with the logic of bringing private servers, then anybody whom played live and was good at the game at the time, are completely irrelevant, because OBVIOUSLY a player who has played private servers 8 YEARS (or 12 for vanilla wow) AFTER IT ENDED, will be far better than any of those original players ever were? For example in that case, Vurtne was a trash mage back in vanilla because im sure some kids out there playing vanilla on private servers are better than him by this point. Do you see what im getting at?
