WARNING: If you open the floor like this, you CANNOT complete the 2nd thieves guild quest because the NPC spawns in the air, falls, takes damage, and then you will be thrown into jail. So you cannot get the king's pardon unless you use cheat engine.
I'm a big fan of Lands of Lore 3 and I'm not 100% on why. It has some pretty objectively bad elements to it, but it's very playable and has a lot of things to like. Here there is a secret dev room with some cool things in it. Though don't click on the shelf as it will crash your game! I have to assume that shelf was used to get items. The other parts of the dev room are just basic things like level ups and money. So I made a video on how to access them and still get to play the game.
I keep coming back to this game every once in a while because it makes me feel like an archaeologist. Because the game is so broken, I find new stuff every time I play and it's really fun to see how much I can uncover and what new in game dialogue I can find. I think my favorite elements are the atmosphere and seeing different worlds. Especially like the underworld and temple of NOD. I really wish I could see this game fully patched and fixed up how it was originally intended just to be able to see it all, but that's never going to happen. Westwood's been dead for years. Maybe someone could rip the game apart or something to get at all the dialogue and sequences to see. That would be great too.
I had the idea of doing a Lands of Lore 3 complete to just show as much of the dialogue and hidden things I could find, but that would take a while to do and I'm busy on my own projects. So here, have this.

Always brings a smile to my face, to see something new in a game I've played a dozen times. So let me return the favore and say there's a "legit" way to do the quick level up. After joining the guilds you want, head for the fighters training course for the first time and complete it... now, the second you see the level up pop off, freeze (don't drop down the exit)... now walk backwards 10 feet, and then walk forwards to the exit but don't drop down. You'll get another boost in xp as if you completed the course yet again. Do this for about 10-15min to max out all skills. Don't know of a money exploit unfortunately, unless you use Cheat Engine... did find long ago online that you can exploit Nathaniel in the Keep by selling him a Hound's Heart, then exiting and returning to the Keep, he'll have 2 copies of that item which you can buy at lower price and the sell it back for higher, then exit Keep and redo. Not sure what the triggering point is, so each playthrough is different, sometimes it works a few times, sometimes once.
Thanks! Definitely didn't know about the exp in the fighters guild! When I replay it next I will have to give it a go!
What I did was to complete the 2nd thief guild quest first ( midway through the game after two portals closed) and later activate the secret chamber afterwards.

Which version of the game are you running? This was the gog.com version.
Is there any way to get to that shelf in that area that has all the weapons on it? when I click on it, my game crashes.
Unfortunately not. It's believed that it's supposed to give you every item in the game so it's likely there is a bug in there that causes the game to crash.
