Does anyone else think that the 2013 year it wasn't lego city police, it was lego city robbers because there were like 2 big sets for the robbers to rob, there even wasn't a police station or a mobile police unit

I never could understand why Lego never gives the police sets guns. In the wild west sets they gave the sheriff a gun but never the police that take place in our time.
Because the cops in LEGO are the good guys. Moral ambiguity over the methods of police brutality is probably a bit complicated for kids. Personally, growing up in the UK, this seemed normal. Our cops only carry guns in Northern Ireland, and sometimes in areas where they consider terrorists want to target. We would definitely need separate issues if they added guns. For Americans, it probably does look odd. However, it gets the message that cops should try to imprison criminals whenever possible across very subtly.

Hmm... The 2011 model was a lot better. This one looks more like a prison too. I never bought a police station set before either. The stuff it comes with looks awesome too. The only thing I don't like is the new cops. The older cops had more torsos to choose from and their light blue, khaki, and black colored torso are more realistic for a cop uniform too once you think about it. I like that LEGO is making more robber decals and more vehicle models. The vehicles are now starting to look more similar to actual models too. I should get this set later on.
It seems like they reuse a lot of the old police station designs. However, I do like the ball-in-chain feature! However, in the set "High Speed Chase" ft. Chase McCain, there is a motorcycle that has the same design as the motorcycle here.
it seems like every remake of a lego city theme becomes lazier and lazier each year. if you look at older sets, they usually have more features, details, and have overall better play value. for example: compare this to set 7744 from a few years back, that had sliding doors instead of the doors that have to be taken off to "open" the prison cells to name one thing.
Can you please review police station 7744, I know it's an older version but there's only little kid reviews and they are kind of annoying. I like to watch reviews before I buy some sets. Thank you

Usually only one at a time. That's the thing folks who complain about police & fire sets sometimes don't understand. Every few years LEGO simply redesigns the sets to keep them from becoming stale, but they *have* to keep making police & fire stuff because young kids absolutely love them and these types of sets sell in huge quantities.

Its a nice set but don't the other stations (police, EMT, Fire) have more vehicles. Like, the other police stations usually had a bike and a car (like this one) but they also had a van that had a cell part in the back. Anyway nice set

my cousins and I built the 2 parts of the left, but we couldnt finish, so i put it in a bag and when I went to my mom's job i left it there for many years and one day I got it back but it was destroyed, well there was only the jail left then (I think this year) me and my parents built the right side, but we were missing some pieces I remember my cousin building the helicopter

Very clean review, I like that, but I do think by using an inexpensive cake turntable you could rotate the LEGO item e.g. Police Car without your hands interrupting it for a more professional look.
I don’t understand why the good people at LEGO didn’t use chain links for the handcuffs as they did the ball ’n’ chain and the tow-chain/harpoon with the “bad guys” car??
Decent review. What's with the hair on the female cop? Seems impractical to have such long hair and to be a field officer - can't think I have seen a female officer with that hair. Would be hard to wear a regulation cap with all that hair too. I think I like the previous set a bit more, but it lacked a helicopter ( easy enough to use one of the many police helis which is what I do.)
4 Minutes into it and I am 85% sure the hook will be used to bust the crooks out. The ball and chain is cool. I wish the curved piece didn't have the 1 x 4 on the back. I have to say I like the modern look of the administrative part. Thanks for the video!

i realized that you can also use the ball and chain piece in the ball shooters that come from bionicle and hero factory. two of those together would make for a nice mastcutter shot like in Pirates of the Caribbean (the movie, not the sets). i just thought that was a cool bit of knowlege for those of you who like the pirates theme from lego

At least the Helicopter comes with this set the last proper police station they made had the pad but no helicopter so you had to buy the helicopter to make the set look complete but at the same time the extra that you paid to make the last one complete gave you a much nicer helicopter.
I think there should be more bad guys then cops because if it were real life the cops would have pistols but you could use the lego revolver or you could buy stuff like brickarms
I don't like how they keep switching out the old uniforms for new ones it gets quite annoying when you have some of the old ones because the look all mixed and matched

Just a side note, I notice the Fire Station comes with a Fire Chief but the Police Station does not come with a Police Chief.
One thing I LOVE about the Lego police bikes is that they are usually cruisers and Lego police bikes to that👍🏻

The motorcycle is a sports bike the cop car I an SVU the bad guys car is a pickup truck and the helicopter is an A-19
