      @weldo1948,
      Thank you for mentioning that reclassification.
      I'm no accountant (retired healthcare) and I truly could not understand what the crime was. I couldn't figure out what law was violated.
      So bizarre.
      Any citizen has the right to question an election; and suddenly, it's a crime? This isn't the America I recognize.

      Yes, GREAT COMMENT - THANK YOU. After watching Robert Gouveia, Esq. on youtube I also found out that it is rare to not have written juror's instructions. These were not jury instructions on a simple Did he steal Yes Or No? The jury instructions went on in a confusing menagerie for over 40 minutes and stated that the conviction did not have to be unanimous.

    Dear Alan,
    1. Bragg had No Standings because the language of the law states 'to conceal A CRIME' ...
    Pressing charges is only sound if the govt. knew what 'A crime' was BEFORE the jury told them.
    This is because 'A crime' differs from 'Any Applicable Crime'. And,
    2. Procedurally, the judge dismissed the charge without noticing that he did by asking the jury to pick 'any crime' as long as they add up to '12 Crimes' forgetting that Bragg arrived without 'A crime' rather than 'Any Crime'. No 12 Jurors found Trump guilty of the 'A crime'.
    The verdict carries No Legal Standing.

      Local prosecutors bringing charges for taxes isn't even how it works, anyway. If a federal or state agency thinks you underpaid for your taxes, they get in touch with you via letter and try to work it out with you before any charges are brought. Local prosecutors don't just bring charges all of a sudden.

    Professor Dershowitz, theres a prominent person that is saying if Trump is elected in November he could pardon himself of the state charges. He states that there is no law against that and that there is no precedent against that. Can you please elaborate further? Thank you.

    • @KevinSmith-gu7fb
      @KevinSmith-gu7fb 3 місяці тому

      I don't agree with that, because presidents can only pardon for federal convictions, not state convictions. The governor of each state has to pardon for state convictions. Nevertheless, I have no doubt that this will be thrown out by SCOTUS if it get that far, and I believe it will occur well before November, because they were pretty fast in ruling on the cases in which some states were trying to keep DT off their ballots.

    I know you previously said that you only represent a client once, but if there's ever been an exception to the rule this is it. What could be more important to our country than this legal issue? Have you read the trial transcript? I saw a lawyer post that they have a copy and read it. It changed some of her opinions. Curious if that would add more clarification to all the issues?

    • @KevinSmith-gu7fb
      @KevinSmith-gu7fb 3 місяці тому +1

      Well, I read some of it, and when Costello was on the stand, the prosecution called "objection" before the defense had even finished asking a question. They said, "Is it true...," the prosecution objected, and the judge sustained the objection. Further, he got hostile toward Costello just for acting surprised at what had just transpired. If you read the transcript, then you would also have noticed the number of times the judge sustained the prosecution's objections. Finally, I imagine Dersh is pretty well familiar with the case, as he was in the courtroom himself when the incident I described above occurred.

    Eventually yo7u will discover this case is not about politics, the justice system or attorneys or judges. This case is about one man (whom I happen to vote for and will again). And it is summed up in Proverbs, 6:32. “A man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself. Blows and disgrace are his lot, and his shame will never be wiped away.”
    And that, is exactly what happened.

I find it really offensive that you continue to state you will still vote Democrat. With all this quite vivid with your statements, I question the why, and the tie to your said written work (books). Please make a statement regarding this fully. I truly do not understand your logic, yet understand your law understanding of all this.

    On the other hand, regardless of the merits of the case, Trump was asking for the results he received. You don’t antagonize the judge during the trial. You don’t go out of the court room and verbally attack the judge, his clerks, his daughter, witnesses, etc., during the trial and expect favorable rulings from the judge.
    I am sure that Trump’s attorneys had a heart attack every time Trump opened his mouth. Any other defendant would have been cited for contempt.

      Do you hear yourself? You're arguing that even an innocent man should be treated unfairly just for expressing his opinion that he's being treated unfairly. That's not what the US is supposed to be about. We're supposed to be able to criticize our government officers without fear of retribution. Also, judges are supposed to be objective and rule based on the facts and law, not whether or not they like someone or like someone's behavior outside of the specific charges for which a defendant is charged. There are very specific rules about prejudicing a jury against a defendant by bringing up other parts of a defendant's life that go beyond the specific charges. Is a judge not also supposed to remain objective and unbiased about a defendant?
