Actually we do have quite a big river Lužnice, but it is kind of hidden and it flows underneath the city. It was part of defence back in the days together with these walls, but you can take a walk or a bicycle ride to a new districts just next to the river ( new dictricts are located at much lower altitude, basically built on the green meadow)
Žižka lost one of his eyes when he was a child. Later, in his 60s he became completely blind. Despite this he was still successful leader of the Hussites army… Thanks for this video👍🙂
aah, Tabor, spent a week there in summer, great memories revived by this video :) (except for chicken vindaloo at the Indian restaurant, those are very bad memories :D) Now I see there are several reasons to return next year :) Thanks
I'll meet you in Tabor when the Apocalypse is due Valéry 🤗 Love these posts about other places in the Czech Republic. Fascinating country, and wittily presented.
Another wonderful video. I am so glad COFFEE is very big there and looks delicious. We will be requiring many coffee shops there for breaks while exploring Prague and Tabor, etc. Maybe you can recommend good motels there???
How funny. The bottom language at the top of the tower about 200 steps and 50 meters is in my language Dutch, the Language of The Netherlands. That's the last I expected. And more so, most of the times when people from outside our country try to write in Dutch, they make mistakes. But the scentence here is perfect Dutch! The town is beautifull! So is the red car! I liked the history! Thanks guys!
I come from a town about 30 km from Tabor and when I was younger and worked for our local turist centre, I remember the Dutch were the most common foreign tourists coming to our town. Don't know why we were / are such a favorite spot.:)
@@DextraKiedis I do, your country is very popular by Dutch people who are not interested in lying on the beach everyday. Because of the history and culture.
Another great video. Your my favorite Czech. You are very good at what you do and your hard work and attention to the smallest detail pays off in wonderful interesting content.

Thanks to the Velvet Revolution, the fall of the Wall, and a healthy internet we have all become citizens of the world, all hopefully taking baby steps to a brighter safer place to live. I’m very jealous of bilingual persons. How many languages do you dabble in? Not just speak fluently but able to be understood and understand. Before the pandemic we were groupies of a musical group called “Pink Martini”. They toured worldwide singing songs in many languages. They always bragged that they were very popular in Turkey. Who’s popular in Turkey? Their music was very inclusive uniting persons on several levels. Thanks for the reverse comment, I really love and respect your work.
Tohle je prostě skvělý! Občas se objeví pěkně sprostý slovo v naprosto funkční pozici a nahradí tak spoustu vznešeného povídání, takže video i komentář krásně odsejpá a fakt nám to něco sdělí.
I missed the bus to Kutna Hora in 2015. Instead i boarded another one bound for Tabor. I didn’t know anything about the town that time. The town is compact, peaceful and has good quality food and cafes. Sometimes unfortunate events lead us to brand new experiences.
i guess tabor was build like big castle 4 war reason., town hard to siege ..from one side jordan lake , from other side clifs and down luznice river ..than just walls between
So fun . . . and I do so love Europe on a sunny day in the Autumn! If that '57 Chevy BelAir (3:37) is the real deal and not a reproduction, it's worth a small fortune! 😎
Very good video. I went there in 2011 and saw the tourist stuff, did the historical walk, went down to the small “river” (not the big one you show, another one off the residential street on the walking tour), etc. The people at the tourist center were very friendly and the building next to the center was interesting, incl. the underground tunnels. I thought the city was like a small version of Olomouc. I stayed in a small hotel just behind the tourist center and it was nice and inexpensive. I had some extra time the next day, and the person at the tourist place recommended a city called Bechyně. It’s maybe 25 km away, very pretty, small city with a castle. There was a lady at the tourist place, I think Czech, and she either called her husband (American) or he just showed up. We had a very interesting conversation.
Yeah, there is a lot of Americans living there. We were quite surprised when a couple of American kids ran past us playing on the square. The lady in the hotel told us, that lot of people from the west and from Prague settle there nowadays.
I stopped at the McDonald's in Tabor for gasoline and a quick bite, on my way to Ceske Budejovice. You can't see any of the things you mentioned from the McDonalds, or from the car at 90kph. I have a reason to go back now.
Here she is, my muse, my inspiration, my reason for being on UA-cam, my angel from afar, the (unrequited) love of my life…😍😍😍😉 On a serious note, it’s great to see you guys going from strength to strength, I really enjoy your videos every week, they’re great! 👍🏻
Nice! Checkpoint marked! And I also learnt a new Czech word: Kurva. An interesting-for-no-body fact: Curva, spanish word with identical pronunciation, means "curve". Like a curved street. Or street corner. Just like the most common place where many bikers has accidents. That's why they say Curva! .. or Kurva!.... . I will remember that reference. =D
Ah Tabor. I switched trains there. I went to the small store and bought a couple of beers and waters. I had a lot of coins, but the ba-bitch-ka wouldn’t take my coins. As I was juggling to get paper korunas, I set my wallet on the counter. My bad, I forgot to pick it up. Back on the train, I realized that I left my wallet. My Czech wife called me an idiot (in this case she was right), and that everything was gone (she was wrong). At Prague, they called the Tabor station, and yes, thankfully, my wallet was turned in to lost and found. I took a very early train back the next day to get my wallet before having to return for a flight home. When I got to the store, the ba-bitch-ka said, “It’s all there.” I had a 6 minute turnaround to catch the train back. I checked if it was all there. Nope. She had collected her fee. I’m grateful that the wallet was returned, but very disappointed at the same time. The spirit of Communism is still very much alive, though back in the day, I’m sure my wife would have been right- no chance of a returned wallet. Thank you ba-bitch-ka, for moving your morals from 0 to 15 (out of 100). Progress, right?
Just a heads up, I told my friends if anything goes wrong with the planet, that's THEIR fault. BUT if the sky really does fall, I will take full responsibility.

Thanks for the video. Tábor is my favourite historical town in Czechia. The medieval town centre is almost intact.

Hezké video, jinak předpokládám, že ty modré dveře tam jsou nechané jako kuriozita. Alespoň jsem tedy nikdy neslyšela o jiném důvodu. :-)
Děkujeme 😎
Valerie--What happened to Chelsea? Will you change the name to Czelsea?
Maybe 😉
I luv her. She is so funny.
Tabor has a river Luznice !

To be there and not show Lužnice river tenths of meters below and don´t show Klokoty monastery I am taking as a crime!
We wanted to but didn't manage. As in most of our videos we don't manage to show everything we want. We definitely are guilty! 👮♂️
Crooked streets are confusing for Zombies.
For the next town how about showing where it is on a map?
Good idea 💡 👌
