    Excellent video👍 clear and informative.
One thing worth mentioning is that the steel wire armour should not be visible at the bottom of the gland assembly when you've tightened up the last waterproof nut with the rubber seal. If it is then the armour has been cut too long and the gland is not waterproof, despite the outer rubber shroud.

@@Gubalicious it’s also much easier to slide the shroud, locking nut and ring along the cable and past the connection point before scoring and spreading out the steel wires in preparation for the gland to be fitted.
This helps prevent any struggle with fitting the gland and injury to the hands

Personally i would place the shroud onto the cable first. I'd offer it up to the cable pushing it as far as itll go to gauge where to cut so it's a good tight fit.
Having cut your shroud you either push it on directly in the direction it fits or push the shroud on the contrary way to how it fits and turn it inside out once on the cable. Whichever way is the easier. This depends on the thickness of the shroud's rubber. If its stiff thick rubber then it's best to put it on cut end first as it'll be installed.

The shroud should always be fitted FIRST. Easy way to do it and get the cut right is place it over the cable end, push hard and the cable will be seen better, cut the top of the shroud off as required, then take the shroud off, turn it around and slide it back onto the cable past the point where the gland is going. The install the outer parts of the gland. Then make the cable off. Doing this way you are less likely to forget the gland and less likely to splay the armourings on the cable when you fit the gland.
You also need to mention that this is a CW - Waterproof gland for use outdoors. Do not use BW glands as they are for use inside.

Secondly the SWA i saw online has difference colour cable. Grey, black and brown. Is this the same stuff.

    Hi,
    Great vid massive help.
Question: i need to power man cave and wouldn’t mind an outdoor socket too.
Can I take the power from inside 13amp socket, to outdoor water tight socket, then SWA from that socket to cave ? I’d the. Want to run lights and sockets off the other end in the cave.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks again for these vids

Better using a SWA cable stripper it looks like a plumbers pipe cutter and you just move it round and round the cable it cuts through the wire as well
