When you look beyond the clichés and the commercial nature of Bon Jovi's radio friendly tracks there are so many hidden gems within his catalogue that go unnoticed. All I see is the work of a man who has been consistently writing deep and profound ballads with such care and beauty from the music to the lyrics it's disappointing that he isn't regarded in the esteem he should be. This track is nothing short of brilliant. When Jon pens a love song you can guarantee the listener can connect with it from Always to All About Loving You to Bed Roses...the list goes on and on and with tracks like this and Amen, thankfully, still growing.

Yes, it´s really sad for a true Bon Jovi fan.
I love how he connects songs and lyrics like how he says "I gave you my fingerprints, left them all over you" he also says this line in the song "That's what the water made me" which I LOVE. He's truly the most talented song writer of the past 3 decades. And to have lasted this long is really something special. Not only is Jon handsome and talented, but also humble, generous and caring. I honestly can't think of one lyric that he's written that I dislike.

I think it's the third best song from the album. Only surpassed by We Don't Run and Who Would You Die For. (Life Is Beautiful has a decent beat, but is more like a song from Lost Highway, and A Teardrop To The Sea is the first song from the album that I liked, and a good a good sad song; I could go on and on, but I think you get the point: I'm not a critic of the legendary band.)
I believe John Shanks played these guitar solos, the 2nd one is beautiful. I took the time to learn it on guitar 😀

I have been a fan for nearly 30 years and am in continuous awe of how year after year they produce music that motivates, inspires, touches, and moves the soul. I cannot believe that they never get the respect they deserve. I am not sure what so called music is today but thank God literally for this man, his band and his heart. My dream is to meet him in person one day and say a simple and genuine thank you. Another great one from Bon Jovi. Thanks guys.

I'm usually more of a "lyrics person", but not with this track. The lyrics ain't that special really, but the tune is.. my, oh my, absolutely fantastic! The melody of Fingerprints has the ability to form a lump in my throat almost every time I listen to it, may well extract tears every now and then, and it's simply a beautiful piece of art, IMO. And, last but least, the guitars are brilliant! **thumbs up**
