There is one item I did not cover off, sorry. Time! This pile took 3.5 hours to constuct - 1 hour collecting Bracken, 1.5 hours cutting the grass, and 1 hour building the pile. Thereafter my style of turning the pile takes me just 7-8 minutes each time. So roughly 4+ hours in total. This can also be constructed from 100% plant based material, as I have done in the past
I love watching this Cmpost getting made. It seems you have mastered the art of Composting and the video is well presented. Glad the weather played ball at last and its been so wet for so long. 2024 just has to be drier and wishing all the best for Christmas and the New Year celebrations.
Fantastic Mike!! I did one a couple years ago. Wasn't the best compost but definitely a decent mulch. Yours looked great, and I have a diversity and quality of materials makes a huge difference. Have a Great Christmas!! Cheers 🌱🤞👍🎄🎄🎄!!
All the bins are full now so nearly have enough .... is there ever enough compost lol ... Merry Christmas Jason and Colleen, wishing you a merry New Year as well
What beautiful success Mike....you had a great mix of ingredients. It mus smell soooh good. Have a lovely peaceful Christmas and hopefully more freedom from asthma. I've had a reasonably good asthma Autumn tbis year...usually when I used to suffer most.!!! I wish I could pinpoint what the reason was. Good health to all your family🎄☃️❄
Merry Christmas Marie, and wishing you a merry New Year as well, especially an Asthma free 2024 🙂 my Asthma is Conifer spores, extreme tree Pollen and Compost spores, as well as dust and the usual suspects.
Asthma is a real Nuisence but I have learned to live within its boundaries and its only when I stray I get caught out. Merry Christmas Marie, and wishing you a merry New Year as well
One of my neighbours (don't know who) dumps their lawn clippings behind my fence. Which is handy but after closer inspection is full of moss. Could I use this in my compost pile?
Almost cvertainly yes - my only hesitation is if they have used weed n feed but if its green should be fine. Thanks for dropping by and a happy New Year Lee
Thank you for another good video. I would like to use some of my bracken in compost. I like that you are thinking of about limiting the amount of fossil fuels you use... ever tempted to try a scythe? Takes a bit of practise but it is very rewarding :)
Absolutely, yes a Scythe is right up there for 2024, hopefully in my own field (but not saying anything more so not to tempt fate) Merry Christmas and wishing you a merry New Year as well.
Absolutely yes. If you look in the video notes I have placed a link to the originator of this style and he is American. Different ingredients but the basics are the same.
Hi, Your video quality is very well but your video does not get the desired views and subscribers. Because your video SEO is not fair. I have big plans for your channel.

Well done Mike, the rats do a good job, they haven't moved into my bin yet to turn mine.
🎅Merry Christmas to you and your family, Terry King.
Yes they certainly did turn the compost well. Bit of a surprise though. Merry Christmas Terry, and wishing you a merry New Year.

My asthma is mainly fungi spires....Nuisence. only started in my early 40'S. Started in an old house where a toxic fungus was found years later.
That's the worst. Glad you figured out the cause. I used to work in a place where I developed similar issues. Never had allergies before then.
