    I have one of these and fell in love with it instantly. It's so versatile and fun to play. I have a Tele and a Les Paul, both costed more than this guitar - and I find myself playing the Dano more than the others. I highly recommend going to a local guitar shop and test driving one of these. You won't be disappointed. *Editing to add a few more things* Someone mentioned in the comments that it arrived very nicely setup, I agree. Mine required no setup. No buzzing, action was perfect. The coil split doesn't do much for me. To my ears it sorta thins out the tone and makes it more brittle sounding, but hey it is better to have more options than less.

    Now THIS is how you demo a guitar.

    How does this thing handle high gain super crunchy stuff I’m looking for a guitar to play some grungy punk kinda things and this looks really cool

      It’s a passable looking Mosrite copy, change out the neck pickup to a P90 or Dimarzio high output 12-14 . So that you can sound like the great Johnny RAMONE .🎸🍺

    Thank you for a great demo. One of the most diverse sounding guitars ive heard, wouldnt be many styles it wouldnt cover.

    Just picked this up at a guitar show. Was surprised at the angle of the neck pickup, sounds really unique. The 25 inch scale seems feels good to me like a prs. Found the bridge to be ok, nothing great or bad and coil tap doesn't really make it sound like a strat. The tone knob is hard to pull, when trying to use it. The floating tremolo is amazingly good. Stays reasonably in tune, even when I dive bomb it. Overall great guitar at the price. Plays and sounds a lot better than guitars twice the price.

      What was the upper fret access like on it?

    • @AmerikkkaGuitars

      @@douglasmackin9325 Plays smooth, no buzzing. Feels more like a Les Paul than a Fender. Props to Danelectro for setting up the guitar. First time I purchased a guitar that I didn't have to setup.

      @@AmerikkkaGuitars Cool. So no problem getting up to the 20th, 21st fret for solos with that thick bolt on neck joint and strap button in the way (when wearing a strap)?

      @@douglasmackin9325 it does feel weird, especially using the pinky. Definitely not a shredder guitar, the neck pocket creeps way up neck, 2 frets more than a fender. Wouldn't recommend. Just tested and I really had to stretch my pinky.

      @@AmerikkkaGuitars Ok, thanks for the honest answer! Maybe the 64 or 66T will be better for me then.

    Just got this guitar, totally get it why you keep tweaking the volume and tone, the max volume is a bit spanky bright and overdriven at the same time , turn the volume down a touch it's classic p90 tone. Both pickups really are a bit bright, maby its the pots i dont know but sound great with little tweaks. If you prefer driving sticks shift this is the manual transmission guitar for you.

    Pleasantly surprised at how dirty that bad boy sounded.

    So you can split the bridge pu with a tone pull up?

    • @BrianPremo
      @BrianPremo 3 роки тому +1

      Yes. The tone knob splits the bridge PU.

      Sounds like 2 pickups wired in parallel like most teles or strat in the 2 and 4 position. Pushed in puts them in series (humbucker). To my ear doesn't sound like 1 single coil, I really don't know nor am I too familiar with the sound d of lipstick pups.

      @@michaelbugler9452 If you look at demo's of more traditional Dano's with lipstick single coils, I actually think the split version of this pickup sounds pretty close to a traditional lipstick. Very bright and jangly.
