Great sew along. Thank you. I never even thought of a bralette for large breasts.
Thank you so much for the sew a long! I love it when the experts show how they deal with stuff that comes up - puckered seams etc! ❤❤❤
I'm happy to share my expertise when I can. I found that pulling the lace while sewing definitely helped counter the puckering and pulling.
I just finished it and it’s amazing! Thank you so much for your amazing sew a long! I took it in chunks but you just were wonderful and patient and helpful. I shall be burning my old bras one at a time! (Each time I make a new one!) 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for such a clear tutorial. Also THREE CHEERS for contrasting stitching on sample garments!!! 🙌
Thank you for this! I sewed my first one today and was able to verify the instructions by watching you sew yours. Very helpful.
Thank you so much for a great detailed step by step instruction. I can’t wait to make my first bra! 💐
Well done video. I am ready to start this garment with test fabrics so I can concentrate on the methods. I will be able to go so much faster after watching your video.
You can do it!
thank you i love these tutorials. so helpful!!
I'm so glad!
Thank you very good tutorial.
You are welcome!
Fabulous sew along!
Wow!! This video makes me feel like I could actually do this!!
You can do it!!
So lovely
Great sew along! Waiting impatiently for my kit to arrive 😉Would you ever use woolly nylon in the bobbin (for stitches next to the skin) to avoid irritation?
This was SO helpful, thank you!! Question: my finished bra looks good except it looks clumsy at the front center waistband where the elastic overlaps - the crossover pulls and bends - any thoughts about making this more neat?
You could try tacking together the overlapping part of the elastic to hold it in place!
Im sorry if you said it and i didn't catch it: what needle do you use with these kinds of fabrics?
A regular needle is fine for most fabrics, but very tightly woven fabrics like Duoplex may require a microtex needle
Okay, I'm a newbie, I happily admit, but I really wish you'd done this tutorial with a patterned fabric instead of lace. The lace makes it so much harder to be totally clear what you're doing and which side is going to which side.
But I must add, now that I've finished making the bra, that this sewalong was super helpful, thank you!
Hi what kind of fabric are you using for the lining?
It's a non-stretch nylon tricot from this kit: porcelynne.com/products/cashmerette-loftus-bralette-pink-lace-and-purple-fabric-with-whitesilver-finding-kit
Dont you think if you loosened the presser foot pressure maybe it won’t pucker? Great video but you need some sharp snips.
They all started out sharp, but I have an 11yo who likes to use my sewing tools for non-sewing projects.
