A.W. Marion State Park Campground - A hidden gem!

- In this video we visited A.W. Marion State Park in Circleville, OH. Located next to Hargus Lake, the park has a 50/50 of RV sites vs primitive sites. There are several geocaches hidden through out the park. The lake offers kayaking and fishing. The park itself does not offer as many amenities as other parks, but it makes up for it with a relaxing atmosphere. There is no shower house at this state park. The dump station was nice. The park has 5 miles of hiking trails and 9 miles of mountain bikes trails. To avoid a couple low clearance bridges, larger RV's arriving via US Rt 23 should continue into Circleville and pick up Rt 22 to the east to enter the park. The camp hosts were really nice and do a great job maintaining the park. The park had great Verizon cell and data coverage.

Looked like a nice quiet place.
Not a lot of amenities there, but if you just want to get away and have a quiet camping weekend it's definitely the place!

You guys would like the hiking trails.
The Circleville Pumpkin Show annual festival is like 10 min from that campground. It’s usually in October but of course is cancelled this year because of Covid.
Thanks for the video. My wife and I are also trying to hit all the state park as well. We have been going every other weekend and every weekend now and then. We have A.W. booked in October, site 56.. 👍👍
It's a nice, quiet park. Not a lot of amenities, but it's definitely a place to kick back and relax!

SO fun to go geocaching at State Parks. We have yet to make it to Ohio but have friends who own a RV Park there so need to make the trip in the future.

What a nice park. I see folks with the Blackstonr griddle but I think about the clean up. I'll stick with my coleman. Did you look at other Imagine RVs before you settled on that model? The map and pins is a great idea. Camp hosts can make a difference. Great job.
Hey! Yes, we walked through 6 or 7 floorplans and narrowed it down to the 2670MK and the 2970RL. We went with the 2970 RL.

There isn’t much going on in the park, and not many amenities, but the last several trips of ours have been group trips so it was nice to get away to a quiet park for a weekend.

Oh the good old days of a good reservation tool for Ohio State Parks. It is pure garbage to schedule now. It takes FOREVER to try and find a site now. Looks like a decent campground, but the site look much smaller than other state parks. How was the crowd ow people? We have been burned before with some really crappy campers in other state parks (walking through sites, parking on or very close to our site, very loud and trashy (literally threw bags of dog poop on the ground of their site like 5 times), and more).
It was the quietest place we have camped. We were scheduling a trip yesterday and the new site kept logging us out. We had to keep starting from scratch. Thanks, for watching!

It’s totally random. Although, we try not to put the same color close together.
