If you go to the area again, I can recommend a walk from bournemouth pier to coy pond.it’s magical. I used to live in bournemouth, and there’s so many lovely places to walk for free
Hi Marcus and Mel. Good video. I enjoyed this. Its reassuring to know that the cheap deals are not always bad. A fair review on the caravan and park. Especially good to use as a base for that part of the country. Would be good for other parts as well if all you need is a base while exploring. Well done.
Thanks for your video, the last few times i was there was back in the early 90s when i was still a teenager and for my 50th this year I'm going back with my parents, so it'll be interesting to see how things have changed! We've got a static this time though, don't think the parents would appreciate the old touring caravan we once had now 🤣
Great holiday video. I enjoyed it can't wait to see more soon. Your videos are always enjoyable and relaxing. Can't wait to see more soon have a great day. Greetings from Canada. We have nice weather in Canada. I'm happy it's spring weather here. 😀
Lovley looking park fair play, it looks like it has very pleasant walks among the trees, very nice, especially compared to " don't shoot me I live not far from it as well" trecco Bay Holiday Park. Disappointed you didn't try the on site fish and chip shop, time we had another fish&chips and curry sauce review 😊
Sounds like you were lucky! I just returned from there, CA3 caravan has a wasps nest in, guess which one we were in? Yeah, we reported wasps in the caravan in the morning, the receptionist took the information down and said she would send someone to look at it, when we got back we enquired as to an update, no idea what we were on about, we got back to the van and there were several wasps in the windows, the grounds guys came over and said they reported a wasps nest earlier in the day at the back of our van, back to reception and finally moved us, the vents were taped up so I suspect it had been reported before, new van no tv and one light was flickering, eventually sorted the TV, maintenance man said he would be back to fit a new light, that was Tuesday, he never came back so I disconnected the light myself after it fell down and was hanging by the connector. Most of the facilities within the park were shut, such as the chip shop, soft play. The overall experience was OK but wouldn't rush back there. The bedroom in your caravan looked massive, ours (we had a sun holiday too, and no, we don't buy the sun either!) you couldn't fit half a bees dick down the side of the bed, the caravan even though "extra wide" had no space by the beds, toilet or "hallway", it was one of the quieter parks we've stayed at though.
It was far quieter and more relaxing than we expected. The nearest seaside resort is about 20 minutes drive away but there is plenty to do around the area. (We went to Swanage for a day).
Hi I'm thinking your Welsh and so am I we are going here in August and am a bit worried reading tripadvisor I'm.feelin much more positive watching this and you are both Welsh thanks
Yes, we're from South Wales. We had similar doubts but had a great time. As you can see, our caravan was very clean when we arrived. (By the way, we paid for this ourselves and the park didn't know we were filming, so no preferential treatment).
Not too shabby at all (I hope that I'm using the South Wales vernacular correctly). Looks like a good, clean affordable place to stay, but might be Hell during the school holidays. It is so nice to see that the Jumbo Sausage has at last put in an appearance at 06' 35''.
i go twice every year and it’s still great in the school holidays because the caravans are your own private space and all the accommodations are quite spacious so not cramped 👍
Most of the kids adventure activities you have to pay for, worth checking the up to date stuff here www.parkdeanresorts.co.uk/location/dorset/sandford/activities/
Thanks for that peek into a holiday park. I’ve still not wrapped my brain around the use of these in the culture over there. Do people spend the entire time on the property? Or do they use it more as a base to explore that region of the UK? And do people live throughout the year or in any of those residences?
We have one of the largest caravan parks near us. Part of it are families spending one to two weeks on holiday (vacation). The other caravans are owned by people (mainly retired) who spend most of the summer there. You are not allowed to live there all year around ( I think 10 months is the longest).
We have been over there and it does look good. It has been busy with kids and families so didn't really want to film. I'll see what we can do in the future.
I worked for parkdean in the housekeeepinh department the whole of covid, and unfortunately their just behind their competitors, most of the fleet are really old, have damp, have been repaired countless times and the things I’ve seen them do as a company is shocking, haven are a lot better with higher standards
@@flydriveexplore I was at pendine, where funding was poor and we had no activities like crazy golf, etc so it was very behind compared to other parks like trecco

We were pleasantly surprised, it was a great few days away.
Location was a great base for the area. Mel's looking at booking another one.
Great review, we are going on holiday here in August. We have never been before so it was nice to get a proper look at what to expect. Thank you 😄
Glad it was helpful! We're sure you'll have a good time.

Yes, it was much quieter than Trecco. We may be going down to Devon soon so more seaside Fish & Chips possible.
Going next week thx for the review
Hope you enjoy it!
Very nice looking unit.

Yea we are Welsh we live near Trecco bay which is another ParkDean. Thanks for watching we would definitely recommend Sandford
Also I was worried reading TripAdvisor after I had booked but dont worry at all it’s a lovely little park and the caravan was clean
Yes, we're from South Wales. We had similar doubts but had a great time. As you can see, our caravan was very clean when we arrived. (By the way, we paid for this ourselves and the park didn't know we were filming, so no preferential treatment).
I see my wife, Mrs W has already replied!
Only difference is we have paid 1300 pounds for August
Not too shabby at all (I hope that I'm using the South Wales vernacular correctly). Looks like a good, clean affordable place to stay, but might be Hell during the school holidays.

A glimpse of a jumbo sausage, well on the menu at least.
i go twice every year and it’s still great in the school holidays because the caravans are your own private space and all the accommodations are quite spacious so not cramped 👍
Are the onsite facilities included in the price or do you have to pay extra for everything?

Werer going to Sandford tomorrow
Can't believe you haven't done Trecco to compare......but look's nice.
We've been over there but haven't filmed it recently. It's been really busy.
@@flydriveexplore worth a visit now it's been redeveloped.

That wasn't our experience as you can see in the video.
