Thank you for all the work you’ve done to prevent other people from making big mistakes, I did think those holes you drilled where very close to the edge. I am guessing this is meat for slightly bigger engines plus. I’ve seen the out come to this and your delighted so I now know what I am getting for Christmas off my kids lol. Thanks for sharing Ray K UK 🇬🇧 YNWA
Thanks, I have an old 89 Alumacraft - 16.5ft so it's heavy. Like you, I'm 230 and I have 2 dogs that add another 270. Our local lake has a 20hp limit so I am adding one of these because that poor outboard needs all the help it can get. We are topping out around 14.5 mph now. I have an old Mariner 15 as well. It topped out just under 9mph but I put on a new prop and I'll put one on that outboard as well. It's my backup.
great video. I got Saturn sd365 and 9.8 tohatsu with doel fin hydrofoil. With me gas and gear its about 350lbs. What prop size would you recomend? I am looking forward for yout test video
At the moment, I am using the prop that came with the outboard. It is an 8.5x8 prop. I have an 8.9x8.5 prop that I may use in the near future to see if I can get more than the 19mph mark I got.
Teodor Stokka. I have a 4 hp Tohatsu with a 6 hp carburetor ( which makes it 6 hp). I installed one of those se sport 200 on it, it fit and it did change the performance. On a 14 foot aluminum boat it would not quite plane both with and without the hydrofoil. The bow of the boat was way up without it. The bow was down and boat flat with it. Speed was 11 mph without it and 10 mph with it. So I lost a little speed with it but the ride was a lot better. Hope that info helps. My Tohatsu is 4 stroke. Is your 6 hp a Tohatsu? Is it 2 stroke or 4 stroke?
@@ErickMartinSucre I have never made a video or put one on UA-cam. There are some kids in my neighborhood that could teach this old guy how to do that! I got my dirt bike out and the neighbor kids wanted to see me ride it and they made videos of it. Or I could watch UA-cam videos on how to make UA-cam videos.
I've had the same one on my 15hp Tohatsu since last year. Made a significant difference in ride stability and planning speed.
I am happy to hear that. I just want the boat to reduce the porpoising it is doing currently. I believe this will fix it.
Can't wait for the test
Next week hopefully
Thx. Watching from Ontario Canada 😊

Nice!!
These things are awesome I think you will love it 👌
I can't wait to try it. Planning on taking it to the water this coming weekend.
Very well done my friend!
Thank you 😊
I have the same Hydrofoil on my 35hp.. Makes a big difference.. Good stuff.. Saludos desde Arizona hermano! 😎🤙🏻
That is good to hear 👂
Good job Erick.. now need video for test it out👍👍
Thank you 😊. Next week, I should have it.
Well done man! Should you cut the rest of the bolt that sticks up maybe? waiting for test video!!
It shouldn't affect it I think. I'll see how it does once I take it in the water.
Great video but, I'd have liked to have seen how the boat planed after the fitment.
lol, no pressure. Here is the water review ua-cam.com/video/8HEchmU7jSk/v-deo.html
nice mate looking at doing the same to my 9.8 parsun
Nice!! I should have the water results hopefully this coming weekend
well done!
Thank you 😊
Wating for the result video! ;oD
@@superspini I should have it by Saturday
The last bolt stripped as i was like 5 turns from being tight on mine and now im pissed lol who the hell puts a phillips head on something like that?
Oh man, that suuuuuucks!!!!!!
what if it's installed and you dont need it becauae you're loaded down. Does it affect eh ride negatively?
Not really. At worse, you could aluminum weld the hole shut if need be, but it should not affect it in any way.
Great video. Can you lay the outboard on it’s side and not bend or break the foil?
Yeah, I posted a picture of it on the community tab.

Can u install hydrofoil on the 6 hp? Love youre videoes!!!
Thank you. Not sure there is one for a 6hp, but I'll check

I had an idea of making a homemade fin hydrofoil out of a cheap plastic cutting board but I have not tried that yet.
Hey, if you make it, make a video if possible. I bet ppl would like tonsee that

good job

Erick I need one for my Suzuki 6hp.. which one fit Erick..???
I'm on it
This one amzn.to/3OXhP09
Or this one amzn.to/3AkUukf either one will do the job
I have just ordered a 8.9 X 9.5 prop for my 9.8 tohatsu , not sure if I've done the right thing , maybe an extra 3 mph my standard is 8.9 x8.3
It may be possible with just you on the boat I think. I manage to get 19mph with the 8.5x8 prop that it came with.
@@ErickMartinSucre im not to worryed about how fast it goes ,but at 2/3 throttle im at 19.5 mph so seems to low geared
Maybe, I plan on using the 8.9x8.5 prop eventually
Do you think that hydrofoil will fit the 2022 Tohatsu 9.9 efi also?
It should fit just fine. It'll fit motors upt to 40hp non Volvo brand for whatever reason. Not that I've seen volvo outboards.
8+ minutes for just the install ? Jesus for 8 minutes I would expect a before and after video of how the boat performed.
I wish I could drop a GIF here, words are not enough to express myself.
