You guys have such amazing desing for you hybrid BantAmp heads. Pity you did not involve same designer for this thing - looks very boring and cheap. Considering there are goid choice of similar and good sounding digital amps on the market, the design is important aspect for choosing the model.
@@PedalRebel880 I hope! Home amps are unavoidably part of the interior. Yamaha THR looks interesting. Positive grid spark is also nice looking. Vox VT series are cool-looking. Even good old one Roland Cube is attractive. Moor Hornet looks like a toster, which is cute ) But this Joyo... I would pay more for other brands just because of the design.
@@SergeiVlassov I agree man.. the other day I was shopping for fridge and I was blown away by how new fridge are just so asthetically beautiful. It changes the feel of the entire living space.
Thanks Vinnie. I found your review very helpful. My main criticism would be that you did not demo or comment on how the amp sounds when played through its own speaker, which it will be 99% of the time. The quality of the speaker and the enclosure make a huge difference, particularly at lower volumes. I don't think you are correct that that the drums and the looper do not sync. My understanding is that looper is indeed synced to the drum machine, ie the initial loop is automatically quantized to the nearest beat of the drum track and the tracks cannot wander out of sync thereafter. However, if you stop and restart the loop, you will need to restart the drum machine precisely on the first beat of the loop track, as you demonstrated. Ideally there should be a linked start function. Re the tap tempo setting, you can tap in time with a digital metronome (eg on your phone) in order to set the drum machine to a specific tempo - not as accurate as dialing it in, but good enough for many purposes. Re the lack of a tuner, I agree with other comments. There is a wide choice of phone-based guitar tuning apps. There's no need to have a tuner on the amp.
You made good points there :) I'll keep in mind about all these when I do a next video. If you're keen on desktop amps, you should check out my review on the NUX Mighty Space.
Hello Chad, if you are referring to the SRV influenced demo I did in this video then I am using the Blues setting on this Joyo DC-15S. It is recorded with the audio out from the amp directly into my phone.
This is a very honest review with all the same cons that I would point out (I have bought this amp recently too). I would counter your cons though regarding the tempo, metronome and tuner - all these are easily available with an app, and everyone has a phone nowawdays, and it is easy to connect the phone by bluetooth or aux line in to play along to any drum machine, loops or backing tracks, and use the tuner in the phone. You could counter my counter argument against your cons by saying "oh, but the looper does not record the aux in or BT sound so you can't use phone beats with the looper", but I would rebuttle your rebuttal by saying "Yes, but if you have to, you can record a loop from the phone using the guitar input with a stereo adapter and then plug the guitar in instead"... And you would be just speachless, and would win!!! Yeah!! ))))
Thank you Vinnie. Cool review. Definately a lot in this box. Sounds pretty good.
Thank you! Yeah, it's been a while since I made this video and I'm still pretty much on this amp daily!
Great Review Vinnie. Thank you so much!
Hello Joyo! Can't resist doing a review when the amp sounds so good! More people need to know about this...

Question how do I record to one phone audio and video and also play a backing track

Can I plug my acoustic guitar with this amp
Sure you can though I have not tested it with an acoustic guitar to know how good it will sound.
my footswitch won’t work for saving presets but will work for the looper what should i do?

Yes nice
Dave Mustaine is an incredible rythm and lead player so the joke is just a joke. Not true at all.
So, it doesn’t suit metal. I’m out
Check out their bantamp then!
