First great tutorial of this song with correct chords I've seen. Thanks!
Great tutorial, the only thing you might have wrong is that JM doesn't alternate with his indexfinger, he uses his thumb and index to press the 5th and 6th string simultaneously. Kind of the same thing as when he almost never takes a "real" barre F chord, he takes the non barre one, but with the thumb sticking to the 1st string as well :)
+Kenneth Helgesson yep, I tried that, too - I can do it on the HD-28 Dreadnought. but it's a PITA, so barring both 5th and 6th with thumb really calls for a smaller model guitar, the OM models iirc? with the smaller build and neck you can really put all the strings in a stranglehold, so to speak.
-in comparison, the 2nd chord of the verses to 'Stop This Train - the line goes:. "...No, I'm not Color Blind, and on the word "COLOR" is when it's occurs - Few people seem to get that one down, and it seems impossibly ridiculous... but it's not - There is a 'hand-roll' Trick to fretting that chord, and the guitar part slides along, smooth as glass.
Thank you for these vids! I was able to learn the whole song through watching them and some tabs afterwards. Great work! :)
That was great man. Thanks!

+secret11993 Yea, Can't get that part down either, and no singing, no women throwing themselves at you.

Does anyone know if this is how john plays it? Cant find a video of him playing it anywhere.....
+Jake_c Yup this is it. I haven't seen him play it either, didn't need to. Just picked it out by ear. I may have missed some little detail, but hey, I winged the entire tutorial in 1 go.
+Joseph A. Felts definitely sounds right, very good tutorial just wanted to check if anyone knew. Thanks man
+Jake_c I'm thrilled this tutorial has helped so many fellow guitar players - Time well spent.
what kind of guitar?
+meikotyke That hunk of shit Yamaha - only thing I learned on it was to appreciate the finer point of masochism
