      I’m so sorry Marcus, this lake has high levels of mercury so we let the majority go and only eat once in a while.

      There is no structure in this lake. They’re roaming around in deep water.

    Hi, what is the exactly St Croix Avid model number on your rod. The rod handle is not the same when I used your amazon link, thank you.

      Agree...I noticed the same when I went looking. Have a look at the 7’ version instead of 6’6” for the handle similar to Addict’s.

      Oh St Croix Avid is the one my wife was using too. She was using Phenix with dual jigs and then changed to 1 jig on the St Croix Avid. I was using Fenwick that's why the handle don't look the same as the St Croix. Hope you'll find it. Thank you for watching.

      @@aProudOG my favorite is the St Croix Avid, but it broke 3 inches of the tip. My wife made me just repair the tip instead of spending another $200 on a new one. It was on warranty for $25, so I'm still waiting for the top half from St. Croix.

      @@fishingwithcamo-joe88 I like your feather ties, but the only thing is that I can't change to use them on heavier weights when I need to. My wife uses yours and notorious together, but because of the weights, its a bit harder for her to catch them on these couple videos. You don't give up though! Keep at it!

    We went out every weekend for the last month and weren't able to locate any crappie. Is there a fish finder that you can recommend for locating crappie that won't break the bank?

      I have a Humminbird 9” Helix with side imaging, but you can find something with side imaging will work fine. There are some smaller sizes of Humminbird with side imaging at bass pro that are on sale or click on the link in the description on Humminbird to see if there’s any on your budget. Hope you’ll get on some later.

      LOL. You're right humps that they are! I'll try to remember that next time. I'm sooo glad that she's very persistent even when she's not catching at the beginning, but her determination got her on 30+ slabs at the end. Yes! Her smile on that 1st fish warmed my heart.     I've heard that you shouldn't eat Clear Lake Crappie. What's your opinion?

      There are people who will not ear from Clear Lake, but there are a lot of people who will eat from this lake. In my opinion, there are mercury in every lake or rivers, but just follow the CDFG guide lines of consumption of the fish. I would eat a few once in a while from Winter to Spring, but not Summer because they do smell of algae due to warm water temp. The last video, we brought 1 home to cook and it was delicious and no smell of anything. Thank you for watching

    Crappie’s come big out of clear lake, but they’re not that good to eat. They taste fishy. Not clean tasting like I’ve caught out of other lakes. Must be what they eat. But they are fun to catch. They fight hard.

      You're right at that! I definitely agree with you on that! Now we're able to catch them as they grew bigger. She still did awesome at landing 30+ on this trip.     This is the second video that the gent got most of the fish. Maybe the skin care scent from the lady's hands/gloves repelled the fish. If the lady dip her lure in Gulp Alive Attractant, she will have better luck.

      We still have a few from Berryessa, and we only keep what we can eat or share with families. We want to conserve them for future fishing. Only keep what we'll eat. Some people don't eat from Clearlake due to the mercury levels in the lake as others don't see a problem with that. For us we only eat once in awhile during the winter season is when they don't smell of algae like the summer time. Thank you for watching

      LOL. Hi Mrs. Addict here. I did take his pole and tried, but it was not biting for me either; however, I did managed to land 30+ later on. He still beat me 3x me.       We don't bang them against the boat before releasing intentionally if it happens. Of course that's not ok> We try to release them as gently as we can. We've seen people just tossed them out with no care though. Thank you for watching
