He's not necessarily mocking multiversal things, more saying that we are so utterly insignificant compared to every possibility of the universe/multiverse, so why not get down and boogie while we have the chance. You should ABSOLUTELY watch it again with the captions on so you can really understand the 3 minute story of the initially-grey, scared dude, who comes to terms with his place and learns to just dance thanks to the assistance of the extremely friendly and understanding cosmic DJ.
The song is bang on 128 BPM. Ideal range for dancing a cha cha is 120 to 128 BPM. Not only can you cha cha to this, it sounds like a cha cha. It fits in. Tom either has a latin/ballroom dance background, or otherwise just did his research. This is a very quirky cha cha song, but it _is_ a cha cha song.
One thing I don't know if you noticed, but starting at the "don't let it twist up your inside" bit at 6:43, Tom holds that ending note for the entire band segment afterwards.
yea, my favorite part. mans could be an opera singer, especially with the vibrato/tremolo (i forgot which lol) slowly getting more extreme as time goes on
Great video! This song definetly showed off more of his surreal talent. which i think he started to lean in more nowadays. To agree with a comment on the original video, it gives of big "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe" Vibes which i greatly appreciate
I agree, I was immediately reminded of Hitchhiker's when listening to the song for the first time & watching the music video. Plus it actually reminded me of Bill Cipher from the show Gravity Falls too lol
Shoocharu is such a phenomenal animator, he can really do it all. i highly recommend the music videos he made for Ninja Sex Party, namely Mansion Party or Welcome to my Parents' House
This one and “Level Clear” are both next level. I’ve loved Tom Cardy for a few years now, and those songs remind me of when Jon LaJoie dropped Wolfie’s Just Fine - funny silly comedy song man suddenly becomes a proper artist 🥰
This is the only good reaction ive seen of this song so far. Youre obviously familiar with Tom Cardy and his music, you take time to pause and explain why youre enjoying the song and giving fantastic commentary. Every other reaction ive seen of this song is either the "reactor" simply sitting and listening, only saying "yeah that was alright" at the end. Or pausing every 5 seconds to call it a "diddy party"
I really recommened watching more of Shoocharus' animations in music videos; he's worked along with Ninja sex Party before. Songs I highly recommend are Mansion Party and Parents House

Just wanna say, that having listened to this song a few more times, I'm totally obsessed
This song needs to be an entire animated series

that part gives me goosebumps its sooo gooood

I like how you started to like the song right around the time the main character started liking the party.
The music video was animated by Shoocharu. They’ve also done a bunch of work with Ninja Sex Party
That would explain the Ninja Brian cameo.
Love Shoocharu's work
goated reaction, actually very insightfull and you noticed many things others didn't. Great video man. I love that you apreciate the Tom Cardy genious
Great video!

I mean, the name of the album is a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide, so probably intentional!

Shoocharoo is a god damned legend. I was blown away by White Whale's music video, and that was one of his simpler ones.

Less catchy? I’ve been listening to this 4 days non stop and shaking my rump
One thing that cracks me is the two red dudes going "lalalalalaLALAAAAAA" as he shakes his rump.
I can literally imagine an entire scene in a movie for this
That’s how good it is to me

Shoocharu animated Transcendental Cha Cha Cha. He's quite known among the Youtbers like Game Grumps due to his..... crazy animations.

THAT'S WHY I RECOGNIZED THE STYLE!
then you will be hyped to know that tom cardy also just released HS and thats another banger
Nice to see great breakdown to this song
