I just moved here from Blaine Minnesota, it's about 20 miles north of minneapolis. I lived in Minnesota my entire life. Even though I'm use to this and much worse, this is still crazy. I've been driving in these conditions for many years and snow, cold, and ice don't bother me. I'm obviously comfortable in this weather. But it's funny because me and my wife moved down here to get away from this crap lol 😂
my buddy from canada just texted me the same thing. lol...I said did you bring this crap with you? He said I hope not hahaha
Well these circumstances are very rare. Temperatures have never gotten this low in 30 years. You say you have been through worse, so your absolutely fine. Happy Snow day!
You also won't be waiting months and months for days in the 70s again! And avg lows in southern TX are higher than many MN record highs! Some of these lows haven't been seen in areas for more than 100 years....Weather events around freezing in the South also tend to be more icy than straight up fluffy snow in the North, with all-season tires I have no issue driving in a few inches of snow but I'm not going on ice without chains or snow tires. It's rare enough most places don't have plows or salt, but the stronger sun and warmth melts things quickly.

I'm over 60 yrs old..and watching weather closely all my life..in Wisconsin....and was always told it never snows much if it's under 20 degrees...what's up?

7/26/21 It’s in the upper 90s today extreme UV warning, 30% chance of rain tomorrow with temps in upper 90s rest of the week.
We're getting lots of sleet here in Webster and there is snow on its way, can't wait. All the water is already slushing or is ice.

Yes I think so. I live in Texas City and drive through League City and Dickinson to go to work. I've taken the next few days off. It won't be safe so don't go out!

Houston forecasters are already starting to eat crow. The entire system is falling apart as it gets closer to Houston. It's all going to move north of the Houston area, giving Houston a few scattered spots of intermittent precipitation with no real accumulation.
