Love the film you’re able to get! And thanks for answering my dumb questions on previous videos not knowing much of anything about farming.

There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers.... and those who do not ask remain ignorant.

Those are really good looking tractors IMO and it's even better to watch while doing tillage like this.

Do they go back for the headlands last or? Always thought the headlands were done first..... Never farmed in my life. Just seems backwards to me

Usually headland only get done first when planting or seeding. When working ground they are done last. I have seen some guys do headland first working ground then hit them a second time after they are dome back & forth.

If you plow headlands first they get really rough and then you have to bounce around every time you turn. When you disc you hit the headlands first to smooth it out.

Great video but I’m wondering why someone would get one of these tractors when they could get an 8300 with a bigger cab and more power for cheaper or the same price?

This tractor runs about 800 hours per year, and an 8300 is way too inefficient, unreliable, and outdated to do the work the way we want to. A Deutz-Fahr will cut the fuel consumption in half. This 6175ttv can pull our 26' disc, but also is nimble enough to run the round baler and square baler in tight hay fields. It's also narrow enough to pull our large grain wagons to the elevator, runs 31 mph doing it, and is smooth with front axle and cab suspension. The front hitch allows for quick ballast change in minutes. Integrated auto steer and isobus is also a huge plus. Our local John Deere does not provide good service either. I can't think of one reason why we would want an 8300.

That little chisel plow does a nice job. Would take you quite a while to cover ground though.

Still substantially faster than a 6F moldboard plow, which used to be the common fall tillage method.
